The three-year-old son of Brutal is in good hands with Kris Lees, and with two wins and three placings from seven starts, he’s building a nice record.

Outta Line hasn’t been too far away from them at the trials, including a placing at Randwick.

The four-year-old has yet to win since arriving in Australia from Europe, but he went close two back at Gosford.

He should enjoy racing against this class, so include him at $3.

Dubai Gold won well at Tamworth last preparation before spelling and coming back with a third placing at Scone.

That run should have opened the pipes nicely for this race, and the three-year-old will be fit and ready to fire.

Money is coming for the favourite, so take the $3.40 odds.

Magical Elegance ended last prep with a win at Beaumont, and although only fair when resuming, she could bounce back.

The four-year-old mare by Good Magic might have had a problem because the run was too bad to be true, but getting back to Newcastle should help.

She won her only start here, and she’s worth including in picks.

Gunning for back-to-back wins is Ostracised, who was too good for them at Coffs Harbour.

The six-year-old son of Divine Prophet runs his best races over the distance with a win and a placing, so that’s another positive.
