Randwick racing tips
—
The two-year-old filly by Home Affairs has looked good at the trials, and Chris Waller-trained runners are never asked for much at the trials.
She placed at Rosehill twice, including one behind Incognito, and she has all the makings of a quality filly in the making.
There should be a decent market push throughout the week.

Looking for improvement second-up is Promitto, who could take advantage of only a moderate Midway field.
The six-year-old son of Divine Prophet has form in wet conditions, including a win in heavy ground, which adds to his chances.
We expect him to run well at nice odds.
Stake: 1 Unit
Joiselle is getting close to posting a win after four consecutive placings this campaign, and she is overdue a win.
The five-year-old mare by Snitzel owns four placings from five starts at Randwick, and it’s only a matter of time before she wins here.
She doesn’t mind wet tracks, so she should be right in the mix.
Stake: 2 Units
Cinsault is a model of consistency with two wins and eight placings from 11 starts, and although she finished fourth last start, she should bounce back with a nice run.
The four-year-old daughter of Brazen Beau wasn’t far behind Miss Spacegirl in a close finish, and slight improvement should be enough to win.
Our only worry is the wide barrier, but luck takes her close.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Sounds Unusual wasn’t suited by racing at Wyong last start, but he made good ground from the back of the field.
The five-year-old son of Unusual Suspect tends to get back in the run before making late ground, but running at Randwick suits that style.
With 54kg on his back, he gets a good chance to score a victory.
Stake: 2 Units
Despite having poor form at Randwick, we’re giving Huon one more chance to show something.
The seven-year-old son of Kermadec runs best in heavy conditions with six starts for three wins and three placings, which is why we’re backing him.
Look for a much-improved run on Saturday.
Stake: 1 Unit
Sun God hit the line nicely enough for fourth at Wyong last start, and improvement should see him figure in the finish.
The five-year-old son of Fastnet Rock showed good speed when placing at Randwick earlier this prep behind Pocketing, which is a good form guide.
It’s an even betting field and he could get back to winning form.
Stake: 1.5 Units
It was good seeing Whinchat back to his back at Wyong when beating a good field by two lengths, and it’s a tidy form guide for this race.
The six-year-old owns seven wins from 18 starts, including a win at Randwick, and much of his best form comes on rain-affected tracks.
Look for him to head forward from the wide draw and kick gamely.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Beside the Ocean finished fourth last start, but she didn’t get any favours in the run, and she still finished off nicely.
The three-year-old filly by Zoustar is a nice type in the making after posting two wins from four starts, and she could mature into a smart type.
Carrying 54.5kg is enough to see her bounce back to winning form.
Stake: 2 Units
We were surprised when Puntin didn’t lead last start, and it was likely the undoing of his chances.
The Bjorn Baker-trained gelding owns four wins from 10 starts, and most of those wins have come when he finds the front.
It’s crucial to his success, so give him another chance.
