Randwick-Kensington racing tips

Race 1. (14:20) Schweppes Maiden (1250m)

#8 – Lipstick @ $4.20

It was a good run from Lipstick last time out at Warwick Farm when making late ground, and it won’t take her long to win.

The three-year-old filly by Street Boss owns three placings from four starts, and it’s good to see James McDonald making the 55kg weight to ride.

Take the each-way odds before money comes for her.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 2. (14:55) Paulele First Yearlings Maiden (1400m)

#2 – Baja Baby @ $3.70

Looking to go one better than her debut second is Baja Baby, who was only a half-length behind the winner at Kembla Grange.

The four-year-old daughter of Justify showed good barrier speed to lead, and only just got nabbed on the line, so it was a strong showing.

We’re happy to include her in our picks.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 3. (15:30) Spelling at Coolmore Mt White BM64 (1250m)

#10 – Point Score @ $10.00

The three-year-old colt by Blue Point could sneak under the radar at double-figure odds, and we’re snapping up the value.

He won at Kembla Grange earlier this prep before running fairly when up in grade. However, he gets 3kg off his back to help with the weight.

That could make the difference, so include him at the odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (16:05) Tab BM72 (1400m)

#2 – Fiddlers Green @ $4.20

Fiddlers Green is a proven fresh up winner with two wins from four starts, and he could hit the ground running this preparation.

The five-year-old gelding by Merchant Nacy runs well over the distance with three wins, and he has been primed with two trials.

We expect him to be right around the mark with McDonald riding.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 5. (16:40) All Too Hard Yearlings BM72 (1000m)

#10 – Nazwah @ $3.20

Nazwah returns to the track following a sixth behind Nashville Jack, and this is a significant drop in class.

It followed a debut win at Gosford by 3.3 lengths, and the three-year-old daughter of Capitalist is bred to be better than average.

She gets in with 55kg, making her a winning threat.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 6. (17:15) Kia Ora Bloodlines to Headlines BM72 (1250m)

#8 – Clancy @ $5.00

Not everything went right for Clancy last time out at Randwick, but he could bounce back with a winning performance.

The Ron Quinton-trained gelding showed much better speed when winning on debut at Warwick Farm before placing behind Baltolf.

It’s good enough form to be competitive in an even betting field.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 7. (17:50) Asahi Super Dry BM72 (1800m)

#10 – Outta Line @ $2.45

Outta Line suffered her first race day defeat last time out at Warwick Farm, but she fought to the line bravely.

The four-year-old mare by Pierro started her career with wins at Wyong and Kembla Grange, and she’s good enough to win in the city.

Tim Clark rides, and she should head forward and be tough to run down.

Stake: 2 Units
