We would love to see the Busuttin/Young stable win the race in honour of their late worker, and although Regal Definition is a long shot, he should run well.
He didn’t fire on debut at Sandown after doing a lot of work in the run, so that’s a complete forgive run, and he’ll be fitter for it.
It would be a good story, so have a small wager in the opener.

Strong bets have come for Semelle Rouge, who has shown good promise at the jumpouts when recording a win and a placing.
The two-year-old filly by I Am Invincible is bred to show early speed, and after opening at $3.40, the bets have come solidly throughout the week.
Barrier 15 hurts, but she goes close with luck.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Hot Too Go cost punters plenty last preparation, but we’re happy to give him another chance at this level.
The three-year-old gelding owns five placings from 11 starts and was good enough to run at the top age-group level. Therefore, it shouldn’t take him long to win.
He’s almost four, so it’s about time he broke maidens.
Stake: 2.5 Units
Looking to cap off consistent form with a win is Siege Perilous, who owns three placings from seven starts.
The Freedman-trained three-year-old ran second at Cranbourne two back before finishing fourth at Geelong, which is good enough form to beat the favourite.
Take the $2.70 odds before money comes for him late.
Stake: 2 Units
Gunning for consecutive wins is West Indies, who won at Bairnsdale for Te Akau last time out.
The three-year-old son of Fastnet Rock might not be living up to his breeding, but he’s good enough to win at midweek level.
Given the each-way odds, we’re happy to include him in picks.
Stake: 1 Unit
Despite running poorly at Cranbourne last start, we’re sticking with White Bear at each-way odds.
The five-year-old son of Shamexpress owns two wins and three placings from 12 starts, so his overall record isn’t too bad.
He should improve with the run, and there are no superstars to beat in this field.
Stake: 1 Unit
Money has come for Walk of Fame, who opened at $4.20 before firming into favouritism at $3.30.
That’s a solid move for the five-year-old mare by Sacred Falls, who should be fitter for two solid runs under her belt this prep.
She has upside, so she should be too good for this field.
Stake: 2 Units
Royal Hill showed good pace when winning at Seymour fresh up before getting back to form with a placing at Cranbourne.
He was no match for some nice types at Flemington two back when running last behind Taken, but at least he got experience in town.
This is more his go, so include him in picks at double-figure odds.
