Rock Them Jools has been close to posting a win after finishing third at Sandown, and it shouldn’t take him long to win a race.
The well-bred son of Fastnet Rock gets all favours off an inside draw with Ben Melham riding, so that adds to his appeal.

Pure Passion showed good speed last preparation when posting three consecutive placings, and two of those came in town.
The three-year-old filly by Snitzel ran third at Flemington and The Valley, placing behind some smart types, so the form checks out.
She gets the inside draw and Shinn riding, which adds to our confidence.

Punters get each-way odds for McKeyla, who owns a win and a placing fresh up, and she should hit the ground running.
The four-year-old mare by Shamus Award owns two wins and five placings overall, so it has been a positive start to her career.
We expect that form to continue Wednesday.

Looking to post back-to-back wins and her third win this preparation is Dreams Come True, who scored at Sandown last time out.
The five-year-old mare had to dig deep to score by a nose, but that tough effort only holds her in good stead at this level.
Look for her to settle back and come with a big late run.

Punters get value odds for Like a Tiger, who is fitter after four runs this preparation, including a fifth at The Valley last start.
The six-year-old doesn’t win often, but he showed good pace early on, and if he’s anywhere near his best, he could win.
He gets 2kg off his back and punters get value odds.

Looking to remain unbeaten is Trapdoor, who won on debut at Geelong by 2.5 lengths as the favourite.
The Hawkes-trained three-year-old showed a handy turn-of-foot, and that should make him tough to beat in midweek races.
It’s another good ride for Shinn, so he’s worth including in horse racing picks.

Al Duca has been well-backed since markets opened, and we’re happy to include the five-year-old in our picks based on recent form.
The son of Al Maher owns three wins and five second placings from 11 starts, and he runs his best races on firmer tracks.
The wide draw hurts, but he has time to find cover and sprint late.

A runner worth including in picks is Tonkin, who won all three starts last preparation, and she looks ready to show up fresh.
The Freedman-trained mare by Blue Point comes off a tidy trial placing at Caulfield, and we’re not surprised by the short odds.
