Sandown racing tips

Race 1. (12:25) Race Previews Maiden (1200m)

#4 – Molveno @ $3.40

Molveno has looked good in preparation for her debut, and the daughter of I Am Immortal could be well-backed on race day.

She has been rock-solid since betting markets opened, and they often get off to a fast start from the McEvoy stable.

She looks speedy enough to beat this field.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 2. (13:00) Quayclean Maiden (1200m)

#1 – Algorithmic @ $3.10

Looking to justify favouritism is Algorithmic, who showed enough speed last preparation when facing tricky fields.

The Hawkes-trained son of Zoustar ran his best race on debut when finishing fourth, and that came against a stronger field than this.

Getting the inside draw with Blake Shinn riding is a bonus.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 3. (13:35) Blackbook Maiden (1600m)

#15 – Sabi Storm @ $3.80

Looking to improve on a debut third is Sabi Storm, who hasn’t been missed in betting markets.

The three-year-old son of Lord Kanaloa is bred to improve with racing under his belt, and the Japanese breeding makes him an interesting runner.

Jamie Melham rides, so keep him safe.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 4. (14:10) Tobin Brothers Celebrating Lives BM64 (1200m)

#8 – Delicate Lady @ $3.20

Delicate Lady won well fresh up before finishing second last time out, and there is nothing wrong with that form.

The four-year-old mare by Inference comes from the in-form Jerome Hunter stable, and it’s good to see early betting support for her.

She only needs cover from the draw to go close.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 5. (14:45) Sportsbet Feed BM64 (1600m)

#3 – Stupendous @ $7.50

The five-year-old mare showed good pace when scoring consecutive wins last preparation, and she’s close to getting back to that form.

She wasn’t too far away when fifth fresh up, so that’s a good form guide, and getting 2kg off her back is another positive.

Punters get each-way odds to snap up.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (15:20) Tile Importer BM64 (2400m)

#3 – Shultzy @ $5.50

Punters get value odds for Shultzy, who has steadily worked towards a win this preparation.

The eight-year-old son of Helmet finished third last time out, and the stayer has enough experience to handle this midweek field.

Having Jamie Mott in the saddle is enough to see him win this race.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 7. (15:55) Stow Storage Solutions BM64 (1400m)

#7 – Yachiyo @ $2.70

Punters get another Japanese runner to back on Wednesday with Yachiyo, who showed good form last preparation.

They often come to Australia stronger than the local opposition, and the five-year-old mare could make a winning return to the track.

It could pay to follow the strong betting moves for her.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 8. (16:30) Get on Extra BM74 (1400m)

#10 – Impending Link @ $10.00

Impending Link runs at much better odds than usual, so punters should snap up the double-figure odds.

The Greg Eurell-trained six-year-old is threatening to win a race after three consecutive placings, so the odds are generous.

Include him in horse racing picks at the price.

Stake: 2 Units
