Sha Tin horse racing tips

Race 1. (15:30) Chek Keng Handicap (1200m)

#6 – My Flying Angel

Each-way value could be with My Flying Angel, who won fresh up at Sha Tin before running some solid races.

The five-year-old son of Zoustar is only a two-time winner overall, but he has been knocking on the door of another victory.

Barrier two should give him every chance to score.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 2. (16:00) Wu Kai Sha Handicap (1200m)

#1 – Majestic Valour

Looking to bounce back to winning form is Majestic Valour, who scored by 1.8 lengths on debut finishing eighth as a $2 favourite last start.

The four-year-old son of Toronado gets Zac Purton back in the saddle, which could make a difference, and it’s not the strongest field.

He only needs luck from a tricky draw to handle this field.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 3. (16:30) Wu Kai Sha Handicap (1200m)

#1 – Ever Luck

Form is with Ever Luck, who scored on debut at Sha Tin by 1.8 lengths before placing last time out by the same margin.

The three-year-old son of Capitalist was a beaten $1.50 favourite, so punters are likely to stick with him at slightly better odds.

Barrier three gives him every chance to get back to winning form.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 4. (17:00) Wu Kau Tang Handicap (1400m)

#11 – Circuit Fiery

It took 17 starts for Circuit Fiery to break maidens, but he could make it back-to-back wins in quick time.

The six-year-old son of Tavistock also has six placings to his name and getting in with 55.5kg makes him tough to beat.

He jumps from a good barrier, and punters should get value odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 5. (17:30) Wu Kau Tang Handicap (1400m)

#3 – Amazing Award

Amazing Award is knocking on the door of a win after three solid efforts, and he just needs to find cover from a wide barrier.

The five-year-old son of Kermadec is a two-time winner from 12 starts, and although those wins came at Happy Valley, he should be suited to Sha Tin.

It’s not a strong field, so look for him to make the most of it.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 6. (18:00) Hebe Haven Handicap (1800m)

#1 – Audacious Pursuit

Running well this season is Audacious Pursuit, who scored two starts back at Sha Tin before running fifth last time out.

The four-year-old son of Ardrossan has time to find cover from a wide draw, and having Bowman riding should help with that.

Punters could get each-way odds on race day, so back him for a win and place.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 7. (18:35) Hung Mui Kuk Handicap (1200m)

#6 – Szeryng

Szeryng showed good pace when scoring by 2.8 lengths fresh up, and he went awfully close when running second last time out.

The four-year-old son of Almanzor owns two wins from seven starts overall, with the two wins coming at Sha Tin.

Purton rides from a good barrier, and the money should come.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 8. (19:05) The Racing Club Cup (1400m)

#8 – Little Paradise

Little Paradise is already a two-time winner this preparation, including a one-length win at Sha Tin last start.

He owns four wins from seven starts, which isn’t easy to do in Hong Kong, so the son of Toronado could be a smart type in the making.

55.5kg and Purton on his back should be enough to take him close.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 9. (19:40) Pak Sha O Handicap (1800m)

#7 – Mister Dapper

Mister Dapper comes off back-to-back second placings, and he was only a nose behind the winner last time out.

The six-year-old son of Tivaci showed excellent form last preparation when posting three wins, so something close to that is good enough.

He jumps from a good barrier, and he’s nearing a win.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 10. (20:15) Pak Shek Au Handicap (1600m)

#1 – Invincible Ibis

Gunning for four consecutive wins is Invincible Ibis, who won by 1.8 lengths last time out at Sha Tin.

The four-year-old son of Hellbent has yet to finish worse than third in six starts, and we can’t see that changing here.

Bowman rides, and punters should be confident.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 11. (20:50) Stanley Gap Handicap (1400m)

#2 – Helene Supafeeling

Helene Supafeeling owns three wins from six starts, including a half-length win in his Hong Kong debut.

The four-year-old son of City Light had been racing well in Europe before being sold, and he has a good chance of staying unbeaten in Hong Kong.

Punters could get each-way odds on race night.

Stake: 1 Unit
