Tamworth racing tips

Race 1. (12:15) Dutton Electrical Maiden (1000m)

#1 – Jagerschnitzel @ $4.50

Jagerschnitzel is a two-time placegetter this preparation and it shouldn’t take him long to break through.

He has been running in Victoria, so coming to Tamworth helps his chances of scoring an overdue maiden victory.

$4.50 is a fair price from bookmakers.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 3. (13:25) Rise Marketing Maiden (1400m)

#9 – Halle Bee @ $2.00

Halle Bee is improving with every run this preparation, capping off with a second placing at Tamworth last time out.

The five-year-old mare by Star Turn has had 12 starts at Tamworth for only three placings, but she’s due a win at this track.

$2 is what we expected from bookmakers.

Stake: 3.5 Units

Race 4. (14:05) Rabbit Electrical Services Maiden (1200m)

#1 – Justice Warrior @ $2.70

Justice Warrior has been backed and beaten a few times this season, but we’re happy to give him another chance.

The three-year-old wasn’t far behind a smart type in Vetwelve last start, which should be a good form guide for this level of racing.

3kg comes off his back and $2.70 is a price with snapping up.

Stake: 3 Units

Race 5. (14:40) Cetnaj Electrical Wholesalers BM66 (1600m)

#1 – Invincible Red @ $10.00

Double-figure value is with Invincible Red, who won well three back before struggling in two subsequent runs.

The five-year-old son of Divine Prophet is on the quick back up after racing last week, which means he has been working well at home during the week.

He’s a sneaky win hope at odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (15:20) Anytime Self Storage Units C1 (1200m)

#4 – Cresta Run @ $3.10

Cresta Run ran well for second fresh up at Scone, which is a good form guide for racing at Tamworth on Friday.

The three-year-old filly by Your Song will need luck from a wide draw, but she’s good enough to make all the running in front.

We’re happy to include her in our picks.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 7. (15:55) L & K Electrical BM58 (1200m)

#3 – Move She Can @ $4.50

Move She Can is nearing a win after two placings this prep, including a third placing at Tamworth last time out.

The four-year-old mare is never too far away from the mark, and she’s overdue a winning turn after posting two wins during her first prep.

She’s worth sticking with, especially at the each-way odds.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 8. (16:35) TLE Electrical BM74 (1000m)

#7 – Not Written Off @ $3.70

Looking to justify favouritism is Not Written Off, who was too quick for them at Muswellbrook last time out.

The Cameron Crockett-trained mare owns three wins and five placings from 14 starts, and getting in with a light weight is ideal.

Take the $3.70 odds before more money comes for her.

Stake: 2.5 Units
