Race 1. (13:20) Mt Noorat Freighters Maiden (1000m)
#6 – All Pink @ $3.00
All Pink ran fourth on debut at Bendigo before spelling, and she returned with a solid trial placing at Cranbourne.
The two-year-old filly by Capitalist will only benefit from her debut run, and she meets an easier field this time around.
$3 is a fair price from bookmakers.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 2. (14:00) Christians Bus Company Maiden (1000m)
#5 – Fox Man @ $2.80
Fox Man is threatening to win a race this preparation after four second placings, and he has been showing good early speed.
The three-year-old son of Rich Enuff should be able to jump and find the front from barrier six, and he has contested fields of this nature.
Punters get $2.80, and it’s worth including in Terang picks.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 3. (14:40) Bet365 Maiden (1850m)
#11 – Sweltering @ $2.20
Punters are getting a bit hot under the collar after Sweltering posted another second placing, but it’s about time she won.
The Busuttin/Young-trained filly was close behind Mollify at Cranbourne, and she gets every chance to beat this field off the inside draw.
She’s one of our more confident bets on Sunday.
Stake: 3.5 Units
Race 4. (15:20) Terang Co-Op Maiden (1400m)
#6 – Podargoni @ $5.00
Looking to cap off consecutive second placings with a win is Podargoni, who placed at Stony Creek and Ballarat.
The Hayes-trained gelding was only a half-length behind McLovin last time out, and slight improvement should see him win.
Punters get each-way odds to enjoy on race day.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 5. (15:55) Inverleigh Hotel Cup BM64 (1400m)
#4 – Asawin @ $4.80
Asawin has been consistent all year, posting a win at Ararat three back followed by placings at Ararat and Ballarat.
The four-year-old son of Churchill has yet to run at Terang, but it’s a track that should suit him, and he doesn’t mind some softening of the surface.
It’s an even betting field and he represents each-way value.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 6. (16:25) Westmeath BM78 (1200m)
#8 – Persian Spirit @ $2.30
Persian Spirit is always around the mark, boasting two wins and seven placings from nine career starts.
The four-year-old son of Cable Bay has yet to win on a soft surface but carrying 54.5kg is ideal and money has come for him.
He opened at $2.70, so punters should expect more money to come.
Stake: 2.5 Units
Race 7. (16:55) Sungold Milk Terang Cup (2150m)
#5 – Independant Road @ $11.00
Winning hasn’t come easy for Independant Road, but he has shown glimpses of breaking through for an overdue victory.
The eight-year-old ran second at Stony Creek two starts back before struggling in the tough conditions at The Valley.
A bounce back is possible, so include him at double-figure odds.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 8. (17:25) Jim McKinnon BM64 (1600m)
#2 – Mark of the Man @ $7.50
Mark of the Man has every chance of going back-to-back after scoring at Warrnambool by a length last time out.
The seven-year-old rises in class for this race, but it’s nothing he hasn’t faced before, and he ran second at his only start at Terang.
Punters get value odds in an even betting field.
Stake: 1 Unit
