Warrnambool racing tips

Race 1. (13:00) Tab Maiden (1100m)

#7 – Eire of Fortune @ $3.70

Eire of Fortune has been well-backed on debut after winning two jumpouts, and she looks ready to fire on debut.

The three-year-old filly by Shamus Award won at Colac and Casterton, so that’s good enough form to win this race.

It could pay to follow positive betting moves on race day.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 2. (13:30) Dwyer Legal Maiden (1400m)

#4 – Habitein @ $7.50

Looking to improve on a debut third is Habitein, who showed a good turn-of-foot when the race was all over.

The third-placed finish was a solid debut effort, and the Adam Chambers-trained gelding should only improve with the run under his belt.

Take the value odds available with bookmakers.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 3. (14:00) Maddens Lawyers Maiden (2000m)

#9 – Judge Jenni @ $2.40

Owning five placings from 11 starts is Judge Jenni, who comes off a tidy third placing at Geelong.

The four-year-old mare by Justify loomed to win that race before peaking late, but it’s another consistent effort from the favourite.

Take the $2.40 and include her in horse racing multis.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 4. (14:30) Conquest Pools BM58 (2000m)

#15 – Bergasun @ $11.00

Boasting mixed form this season is Bergasun, who comes off a second placing at Warrnambool, and that’s a good form guide.

The Shane Jackson-trained gelding by Fiorente is likely to have a jumping career at some stage, but he’s still quick enough to win on the flat.

We’re happy with the double-figure odds available.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 5. (15:00) Western District Agricentre BM64 (1700m)

#6 – Revolver @ $9.50

Revolver didn’t fire a shot at Ballarat last time out, but we’re happy to give him another chance based on his prior form.

The four-year-old son of Proisir owns two wins and three placings from eight starts, so he’s always around the mark.

Anything close to his best is good enough, so the odds are generous.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 6. (15:30) Warrnambool Auto Group BM58 (1300m)

#8 – Sierra Blanca @ $7.00

Sierra Blanca was too good for them in an easier race on debut, but with natural improvement, she should go close.

The three-year-old filly by Palentino handled the heavy conditions well, so having another run in the wet doesn’t hurt her chances.

Getting weight off her back helps, so include in picks.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 7. (16:00) Wilsons Real Estate BM70 (3100m)

#5 – The Storyteller @ $4.50

Each-way value is with The Storyteller, who is already a three-time winner this preparation over staying distances.

The four-year-old Kiwi-bred is good enough to beat this field, especially over 3100m, so the odds should shorten on race day.

Include him in picks and expect a good effort.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 8. (16:30) Cassign BM58 (1100m)

#3 – Just Bolts @ $10.00

Punters get value odds for Just Bolts, who kicked off his preparation with two wins at Werribee.

The four-year-old son of Winning Rupert hasn’t been too far away since at Cranbourne and Pakenham, so the form checks out.

Given the odds, we’re happy to include him in picks.

Stake: 1 Unit
