First race in 6h 46m Punters get an eight-race card in Sydney on Monday, and public holiday racing is always fun. Warwick Farm hosts the meeting, which includes some good racing, especially Race 7, which is a Benchmark 100 race that features some future stars. There aren’t much better ways to start the week, and there are value bets throughout the card.
Race 1. (13:25) Racing and Sports Maiden (1600m)
#7 - True Tone @ $2.60

True Tone was beaten at skinny odds last time out at Hawkesbury, but punters better odd this time around.
The Chris Waller-trained colt by Dundeel is bred to start winning races, and getting the inside draw with 55.5kg on his back is ideal.
We expect him to bounce back and exit maidens.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 2. (14:00) Jacquinot First Crop 2YOs BM68 (1100m)
#1 - Cresent King @ $2.35

Shooting for consecutive wins is Cresent King, who dug deep to score at Canterbury last time out.
The three-year-old colt by Written Tycoon will need to carry a big weight to win, but he gets the inside draw with Zac Lloyd riding.
He’ll get his chance to win, hence the shortening odds.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 3. (14:35) E Security Group BM72 (2110m)
#2 - Cavalry @ $2.25

After two moderate performances this season, it’s time Cavalry showed up, and punters expect better from him on Monday.
The five-year-old gelding by Brutal owns two wins and four placings from nine starts, so the ability is there, and he should be fit now.
It’s a small field, which should only help his chances.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 4. (15:10) Drinkwise Mile BM72 (1600m)
#6 - Erina @ $9.00

Erina looked good earlier this season when winning back-to-back races at Beaumont and Tuncurry, which is a good form guide.
The five-year-old mare wasn’t far away when running third at Kembla Grange last start, and getting 2kg off her back is a bonus.
It’s an even field, so include her at nice odds.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 5. (15:45) Inglis Ready2race Sale BM72 (1600m)
#7 - Clancy $4.80

Clancy is better than what he has been showing lately, but there was improvement with his fourth at Warwick Farm last time out.
The Ron Quinton-trained gelding looked good early in his career when winning twice, including a win at this track.
The talent is there, so we’re sticking with him.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 6. (16:20) Schweppes BM72 (1400m)
#7 - Art Volant @ $6.50

Punters get each-way odds for Art Volant, who ran second at Newcastle last time out, and something close to that is good enough.
The six-year-old mare by Flying Artie hasn’t won for a while, but she won her only start at Warwick Farm, so returning to this track helps.
She only needs to navigate the wide draw to figure in the finish.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 7. (16:55) Toyota Forklifts BM100 (1000m)
#8 - Silver Wedding @ $6.50

We expect the favourite to drift and money to come for Silver Wedding, who will sit out the back and hope there is speed on.
Luckily, current $2 favourite Ice Kool will set a strong tempo, and that plays into her hands, as she can produce a better turn-of-foot than most at this level.
It’s a tough field, but with 54kg on her back, she should give punters a sight late.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 8. (17:30) Tab BM72 (1100m)
#8 - Street Artist @ $4.40

We’re taking the each-way odds for Street Artist, who has been running well in some tough fields lately.
The Freedman-trained gelding owns two wins and four placings from 11 starts overall, and he looked good early in his career.
She gets the inside draw and Lloyd riding, so she’ll get her chance.
Stake: 1 Unit
