NBA Saturday Tips
—
Cleveland Cavaliers vs Indiana Pacers @ Gainbridge Fieldhouse
The Pacers have shocked the Cavaliers, taking a 2-0 lead on the road, and now they return home to pile on the hurt.
The Cavaliers were favourites to win the Eastern Conference, but after blowing what looked like a certain Game 2 win, they have their backs against the wall. Choking big leads has been prevalent throughout the NBA playoffs in 2025, and the Cavaliers have been at the top of the list.
Despite being down 0-2, they are the $1.69 favourites for Game 3 on the road. Despite the Cavaliers looking great during the regular season, playoff basketball is different, and it appears as though this team isn’t ready for it.
Getting $2.23 for the Pacers at home is a good price with NBA odds, and we thought the line would be $1.90 a piece. The Pacers are a good home team, boasting a 29-11 regular season record, and Tyrese Haliburton is playing with great confidence.
He could make the difference again for the underdogs, and we don’t think they’re getting enough respect. We’re backing the Pacers to take a 3-0 lead and shock the former East favourites.
Betting tip: Indiana Pacers @ $2.23

Oklahoma City Thunder vs Denver Nuggets @ Ball Arena
Speaking of teams that have blown big leads late in the fourth quarter, the Thunder did exactly that in Game 1. It was a mind-blowing loss, but they rebounded with an effortless 149-106 victory in Game 2, and that’s an excellent form guide.
It was good to see the Thunder bounce back to their best form, which is why they’re one of the favourites to win the NBA title, despite losing homecourt advantage. They are $1.50 favourites to take the series lead against the Nuggets, who might have run their race.
It was a poor performance from them in Game 2, and they were a shadow of the team that came to win Game 1. That performance comes with great concern for Game 3, which is why bookmakers have them at $2.68 to win at home.
We respect Nikola Jokic and his insane talent, but with the Thunder now firing on all cylinders, they will be tough to beat. The current line is –4.5, which we expect to firm on game day. The Thunder won by 43 points on Thursday and playing on the road hasn’t been an issue for them.
Betting tip: Oklahoma City Thunder –4.5 @ $1.90
