It won’t be easy to beat Bryce Cotton and the 36ers, as the Phoenix discovered. Cotton went to another level and showed why he won the MVP. However, Kendric Davis is adamant that he should have won the MVP title, so he could come up with the goods.

Sydney’s defence is better than South Melbourne’s, so Cotton should struggle to score totals of around 40 points. With the game being played in Sydney, we can’t look past the Kings, who have more depth than Adelaide.

Take the Kings to set the tone early in the series and cover the –5.5 spread.

Our NBL picks have Davis going off in the scoring department. He scored 35 and 27 points in the series against the Wildcats, and he should enjoy playing against Adelaide’s defence, which can allow open shots. The 26.5-line is generous, so include him in NBL multi bets.

We expect a lower-scoring game from Cotton compared to what he has produced recently, but the 26.5-point line is lower than expected, so we’re jumping on the over. He should have around 28-30 points in a losing effort for Adelaide.
