Phoenix vs. 36ers Predictions
—
Best Bet
We backed the Phoenix to win the opening game, but a massive effort from NBL MVP Bryce Cotton put an end to that. They need to defend him better to win this game, but they should make the necessary adjustments.
Coming into the playoffs, the Phoenix had all the momentum. They looked good in the seeding round, and although losing Game 1 is never ideal, playing at home should make a big difference in Game 2 on Saturday.
Nathan Sobey and Ian Clark can get hot at any time, and if Sobey has a good game, the Phoenix should prevail. They are a high-scoring team, so if they contain Cotton, they should have too much depth.
Bet on the Phoenix to tie the series at 1-1 and cover the –3.5 spread.

Same Game Multi
Punters get $2.50 for Sobey to score 25+ points, which is a massive boost for our NBL same game multi picks. Sobey is a dynamic scorer, and although he likes to get his teammates involved, we predict him to be more selfish in an all-or-nothing contest.
Jordan Hunter is needed on the boards. He needs to limit the number of offensive rebounds that Adelaide gets, and he should have 6+ rebounds. The odds are worth including in multi bets for the Phoenix big.
Considering how many points they scored in Game 1, over 192.5 isn’t a surprising line. It’s about the highest we’ve seen, but Game 2 should be an offensive masterclass.

Best Value Bet
Our NBL predictions have the Phoenix starting well and never looking back. They often start well, which will get the home crowd energized.
We priced the Phoenix to lead at halftime and fulltime at $1.90, so we rate this pick as a value bet. They are an excellent team when things go their way, and they showed their ability to score points in the opening game.
We can’t see Adelaide scoring 104 points again, so back the Phoenix confidently.
