Boasting recent wins over the Eels and Bulldogs are the Dolphins, who are good enough to make some waves if they make the playoffs later this year.
They’re currently sitting outside the top eight, but we’re backing them to cover the –5.5 spread against a Dragons team coming off back-to-back wins over the Knights and Broncos. However, beating those teams isn’t too tough right now.
Playing at Suncorp Stadium helps the Dolphins, and the last time they played the Dragons at Suncorp they won 38-0. We don’t expect a similar score to that 2024 performance, but we’re confident of including the Dolphins –5.5 in our NRL picks this week.

Our try scoring picks are going with two of the more consistent players for the Dolphins. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow has four tries from his last three games, and the speedster knows how to get around a tiring defence late in the game.
