The Eels might have beaten the Broncos last week, but they have always struggled with consistency, so we expect them to trend in a negative direction.

The Dragons are 0-2 after losing 15-14 in Las Vegas before getting smashed by the Storm 46-20 last week. However, they were right in the game against the Storm with 20 minutes to go, and they simply stopped defending.

Punters should expect a much better defensive effort against the Eels. They showed good toughness against the Bulldogs, so if that Dragons side turns up, it should be a close game. The +7.5 line is too good to pass up, and their last meeting saw the Dragons win 34-20.

Christian Tuipulotu and Valentine Holmes scored tries against the Storm and we have them scoring against the Eels.

Tuipulotu has two tries from his last three games, and that’s why he’s the current favourite to score for the Dragons. We expect him to score at odds of $1.89 in a high scoring contest at CommBank Stadium, so include him in NRL same game multis.

Holmes scored a double last week, and he needs to lead the Dragons. If he gets on the board, they have a good chance of covering the spread, and $2.18 odds are generous from bookmakers.
