Knights vs. Broncos Predictions
—
Best Bet
We expected money to come for the Broncos, who opened at –9.5, but we’re still happy to take the –10.5 line available with bookmakers.
They showed good heart when beating the Dolphins last week, despite losing both halves two weeks ago. It won’t be easy to win during the NRL finals because of those losses, but they should be good enough to handle the hapless Knights.
Newcastle is not enjoying a losing streak, and scoring just four points against North Queensland last week might have been its worst performance yet. Given the ability of Brisbane, it should be another one-sided affair.

Same Game Multi
There should be a lot of tries coming from the Broncos, which is why we’re including over 45.5 points in our NRL SGM picks. Most of the points will come from the visitors, who could run up a big score against a poor Knights defence.
Those tries could come from Deine Mariner and Reece Walsh. Mariner has three tries from his last three games, including a double. He’s improving nicely towards the end of the year, and we’re taking the $1.91 odds available.
Walsh has been dynamic since returning from injury, scoring three tries in his last five games, and setting up many more. His electric speed is enough to score a try against a Newcastle team looking forward to 2026.

Best Value Bet
Billy Walters hasn’t scored in his last three games, but he looked good prior to that, and we believe he will get more game time this week.
He typically makes an impact off the bench, but with Brisbane playing without its starting halves, he should get more minutes.
Getting $4 for Walters to score a try is good value.
