Knights vs. Raiders Predictions

Best Bet
The Knights have done well despite losing their best players, including an upset 24-16 win over the Bulldogs last week.
They are doing it without Kayln Ponga and Dylan Brown, who are their best attacking players, but it didn’t matter last week. Their players stepped up, especially on defence, and the same could happen again against the Raiders.
Canberra scored a one-point win over the Sea Eagles in Round 1 before losing three consecutive games. They didn’t look good when losing 34-22 to the Sharks last week, so we can’t bet on them as the –4.5 favourites on the road.
It will take a big effort for the Knights to replicate what they did last week, but we’re keeping faith.

Same Game Multi
Dominic Young comes off a three-try performance against the Bulldogs, and the rangy winger is a good chance of scoring again. NRL odds have Young at $1.88 to score a try, which is worth including in NRL same game multi picks.
Fletcher Hunt pays much better at $2.90, and it provides a big boost to the multi. Hunt scored tries in back-to-back games, and his height is enough to score a try over the top of the Raiders’ defence.
With the Raiders struggling to score points, we’re backing under 47.5 points. Their last meeting at McDonald Jones Stadium combined for 40 points, which is a good form guide.

Best Value Bet
There is a lot to like about the Knights’ record of three wins from four games. They suffered a loss to the Warriors, but that came one week after losing their two best players.
They have had more time to adjust to their new lineup, and they could run over the Raiders from the outset, so we’re taking $3.20 for a halftime/fulltime win.
It’s a good price for the home team to lead at halftime and win, so include it in NRL value picks.
