NRL Round 2 Tips

Thursday 12/3/26
The Broncos didn’t start the year well with a loss to the Panthers, but it was a much worse performance from the Eels.
They were smashed by the Melbourne Storm in a one-sided affair, which has seen the Eels start the year at the bottom of the NRL ladder.
We expect much more from the Broncos, who could click into gear and cover the –11.5 spread.

The Warriors are always a tough team to predict, but with the way they manhandled the Roosters last week, it’s hard to pick against them.
They’ll need to be good to beat a Raiders team coming off a dramatic win over the Sea Eagles. However, the Raiders showed some poor signs on defence, particularly in the second half, which is concerning for the visitors.
Therefore, we’re taking the Warriors to start their season perfectly.

We thought NRL odds would have the Rabbitohs favoured to win after producing a great effort to beat the Dolphins on Sunday.
It was a complete performance from the Rabbitohs, who have a good team on paper, and 2026 could be the year they put everything together.
The Roosters were dreadful against the Warriors, and if they don’t bring their best, the Rabbitohs could muscle their way to a win against their rivals.

The Wests Tigers didn’t play in the opening round, so they secured two competition points, and they should be ready to fire.
We knew they would have teething problems last season with Jarome Luai in the team, but with that year under their belt, there are no excuses for underperforming.
The Cowboys didn’t fire in Las Vegas, so we’re going with the home team to deliver.

The Storm dispatched the Eels by 48 points in the opening round, and they’re eyeing another easy win over the Dragons.
The Dragons come off a loss in Las Vegas, and although they’ve had plenty of time between games, the travel and the occasion could be too much for them.
Class is with the Storm, who have every chance of running up another big number and covering the –7.5 spread.

The Panthers look good last week when handing the Broncos a hefty loss, and although we have them beating the Sharks, we predict a close contest.
The Sharks were one of the more impressive opening round teams, and although they only defeated the hapless Titans, it was a complete performance.
They are good enough to keep it close in what could be the game of the round.

Sunday 15/3/26
The Sea Eagles lost a tough game in the opening week. The overtime loss didn’t get them any competition points, but we love the way they battled back against the Raiders.
They looked gone at one stage, but two late tries and a penalty was enough to force overtime. It was the effort of a team with plenty of upside, and it should be enough to beat Newcastle.
The Knights won in Las Vegas, but they’re down on troops, and they could struggle with consistency for most of 2026.

The Dolphins were one of the more disappointing teams last week when losing heavily to the Rabbitohs, but a rebound performance is likely.
They are still a quality offensive team, and although their defence is only average, the Titans won’t pose too many problems on Sunday.
We rate the Titans as the worst team in the comp, and their Round 1 performance didn’t change our stance. Look for the Dolphins to rack up a huge win at home.
