Raiders vs. Sharks Predictions

Best Bet

Raiders @ $1.80

There isn’t much between the Raiders and Sharks, but we’re including the Raiders in our NRL predictions following a close loss to the Bulldogs.

They haven’t had the best of luck so far, but Ricky Stuart should have his men ready to fire, and the Sharks didn’t look good when losing 38-10 to the Dolphins last week, which could be tough to bounce back from.

Playing at home is a big boost for the Raiders, who play best at home, which was evident last week. The conditions didn’t suit their style of play, but it should be an open contest with plenty of tries, and they could capitalise.

We expect the $1.80 to firm into around $1.75 on game day, so lock in the early odds. They are often well-backed late in the week, and we expect NRL multis to run through the Raiders on Sunday afternoon.

Same Game Multi

Raiders H2H, Xavier Savage Anytime Try Scorer, Kaeo Weekes Anytime Try Scorer, Over 47.5 Points @ $9.50

Xavier Savage is hoping to end a two-game try-less drought. He is a key player to the Raiders’ chances of winning, and if he scores a try, they should go close to winning. Punters get $1.95 for Savage to add to his two-try tally this season.

Kaeo Weekes pays $2.45 to score, and the explosive Raider should fancy his chances. The Sharks defence opened up badly last week, and players like Weekes could split the defence and score a long range try.

It’s often a high-scoring game involving these teams, and although the 47.5 line is right around the mark, we’re including the over in our NRL same game multi picks.

Best Value Bet

Raiders Halftime/Fulltime @ $2.25

Our NRL predictions have the Raiders making a fast start. Their style of winning last year was to start slow and finish strongly, but that’s not going to work well for them this season.

They need to get off to stronger starts, and with the Sharks getting rattled last week, they are there for the taking.

The $2.25 odds for a halftime/fulltime win are worth including in value picks.
