NRL Magic Round continues Friday May 2 at 8:05pm, and we have Roosters vs. Dolphins predictions for the big game at Suncorp Stadium.
There isn’t much between them with NRL odds, with the Roosters holding slight favouritism in what is effectively an away game for them.

Roosters vs. Dolphins Predictions
—
Best Bet
Roosters H2H @ $1.88
There hasn’t been much money for the Roosters, but that’s mostly because the Dolphins have the Brisbane crowd behind them. However, after blowing a massive halftime lead last week, the Dolphins are reeling.
They blew a 28-10 halftime lead over the Raiders, who outscored them 30-0 in the second half. Bouncing back from that loss could be tough, and the Roosters come off a one-sided win over the Dragons, so they’re playing well.
We think bookmakers have generous odds for the Roosters, who won the last two meetings against the Dolphins, and although they can be inconsistent, their best form is enough to put up a number on the Dolphins on Friday night.

Same Game Multi
Roosters H2H, Mark Nawaqanitawase Anytime Try Scorer, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow Anytime Try Scorer, Over 48.5 @ $8.00
They scored a whopping 74 points when meeting in 2024, so we’re backing over 48.5 points with confidence. The Roosters won 40-34 on the road, so that game is a good betting guide for Roosters head-to-head and over 48.5.
Our try scoring options are form players, and we expect them to score at least one try each. Mark Nawaqanitawase has three tries over his last five games, and he’s playing with great confidence, which is good to see.
Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow has five tries from his last four games, including a three-try haul against the Panthers. He’s one of the fastest players in the NRL, and he should have no trouble getting around the Roosters defence. Punters get $1.90 for him to score, which is much better odds than we expected, especially with Nawaqanitawase paying shorter odds at $1.74.
Best Value Bet
Billy Smith 2+ Tries @ $7.00
Billy Smith didn’t score last week against the Dragons, but he scored a double against the Broncos, and he has a knack of finding the try line.
He isn’t our top try scoring chance for the Roosters vs. Dolphins, but Smith is playing with confidence, and he likes to snipe around the ruck. He has already shown that he’s good enough to score a double, and in a high-scoring contest, he could take advantage.
The $7 odds make him a worthwhile bet for value.
