Roosters vs. Sharks Predictions

Best Bet
The Sharks lose only Sam Stonestreet this week, and after their 31-26 win over the Melbourne Storm, they’re the team to beat. They are –8.5 favourites against the Roosters, and although they’re on the road, they should win comfortably.
They get a great chance to improve on their 7-4 record against a Roosters team playing without Angus Crichton, Connor Watson, Lindsay Collins, Robert Toia, and Spencer Leniu. Surprisingly, captain James Tedesco didn’t get picked for Origin, so he will play.
However, based on the Sharks current form of three consecutive wins, we’re backing them to cover the spread. They’re a top four team, and the Roosters are just trying to keep in the hunt of a playoff spot, sitting 11th on the NRL ladder.

Same Game Multi
We can’t believe the $3 odds for Mark Nawaqanitawase to score a try. The Roosters player has five tries from his last three games, including doubles against the Dolphins and Bulldogs. His form is excellent, and his odds are high because bookmakers don’t expect the Roosters to score much.
However, it could be a higher scoring game than expected, which is why we’re also including over 44.5 points. They combined for 68 points in their 2024 meeting and adding to the try scorers list could be Ronaldo Mulitalo, who has bounced back to form with three tries in two games.
It was a slow start for the Sharks player, but he’s back to his best, so take the $1.78 odds and include him in NRL same game multis.

With his confidence back, Mulitalo is a good chance to score the opening try on Saturday night against the Roosters.
He’s the equal favourite with teammate Mawene Hiroti, but Mulitalo is loving life with three tries in two games, and he could get things off to a good start for the Sharks. He wasn’t the first try scorer last week, which came in the fourth minute for Grant Anderson, but he scored in the seventh minute.
Look for something similar on Saturday.
