Sea Eagles vs. Raiders Predictions

Best Bet
The Raiders opened at bigger odds, but we’re not surprised by the weight of money coming for the visitors.
They have a much more dangerous team, as they showed last year, and with the Sea Eagles departing with Daly Cherry-Evans, it could take them a few weeks to find their rhythm. That’s our biggest concern with the Sea Eagles, and if they were on the road, they would be paying $2.30.
Canberra has a good team on paper, including Hudson Young, Xavier Savage, and Ethan Strange. They could go to another level in 2026, and it wouldn’t shock NRL fans if they finished in the top four.
Include them in NRL picks to beat the Sea Eagles and make a big opening round statement.

Same Game Multi
There is good value with Ethan Strange, who is a $2.75 chance to score. Strange has a knack for scoring tries, having scored six tries in his last four games. That’s a stellar record, so snap up the value odds for him to score.
Savage has two tries from his last four games, and he’s the current $2.10 favourite for the Raiders to score. He’s only improving with more games under his belt, and he could have a breakout year.
Our NRL predictions expect a high-scoring game. They combined for 40 points in their most recent meeting, but the Sea Eagles scored only 12 points. They should score more on Saturday, so include over 43.5.

Best Value Bet
We can’t see either team winning by 13+ points. It should be a tight game throughout, and we give the Raiders the edge, especially in the last 10 minutes.
Their experience of winning close games sets them apart from the Sea Eagles, and coach Ricky Stuart emphasises in closing out games.
They’re an awesome second-half team, so they could run over the Sea Eagles late to win by 1-12 points.
