Brumbies vs. Blues Predictions
—
Best Bet
We don’t often see an Australian team favoured by 6.5 points against the Blues, and we’re taking the generous line this week.
Despite owning a 1-1 record, the Blues pushed the Chiefs close in the opening week, and we don’t rate the Brumbies as high as the Chiefs. They stuck on gamely and only lost in the closing minutes before beating the Force last week.
The Brumbies have been good, including winning 50-24 in Christchurch against the Crusaders. That was one of their best all-time wins, but it’s never easy to back it up with another strong performance. Therefore, the Blues are a better bet with the +6.5 start.
They’re a decent chance to win the game outright at $2.80, which is worth entertaining as a value bet.

Same Game Multi
Corey Toole has made a good start to the year with two tries from two games, and he has four tries from his last three games overall. He’s a $1.80 chance to score against the Blues, so include him in Super Rugby picks this week.
We also like Caleb Clarke to power his way over the line. The All Black has had a tough time off the field over the last couple of years, but he needs a big performance to give AB selectors a reason to include him later in the year. The $2.05 odds are generous for a quality finisher.
Tries shouldn’t come easily for both sides. They have good offensive weapons, and over 55.5 points is a fair line.

Best Value Bet
The Blues opened at longer odds, and it’s no surprise to see money come for them throughout the week.
They could easily be 2-0, and although the Force pushed them to within 10 points last week, it was still a tidy effort, and winning on the road is never easy.
The $2.80 odds are too good to pass up for an NZ-based team.
