Waratahs vs. Blues Predictions

Best Bet

Blues –5.5 @ $1.90

The Blues –5.5 is one of the best bets of the week. They couldn’t have been more impressive when winning 43-7 last week against Moana Pasifika, and the Waratahs haven’t played well over the last few weeks.

The Waratahs come off a loss to the Reds, and they looked even worse when losing 59-19 to the Hurricanes at home. That was a step in the wrong direction for a struggling franchise, and it could continue throughout the year.

With the Blues coming in with three wins from their last four games, they’re a form Super Rugby team, and they should be far too good for the Waratahs at Allianz Stadium.

Same Game Multi

Blues -5.5, Caleb Clarke Anytime Try Scorer, Cody Vai Anytime Try Scorer, Over 55.5 @ $8.50

Caleb Clarke is having an excellent year with five tries in his last three games, and the powerful All Black should score a try against the Waratahs. Punters get value $1.80 odds for Clarke to score, and that’s a fair price from bookmakers.

Cody Vai is shooting for a try in three consecutive games. He has come of age this season, and with his confidence levels growing, we’re happy to include him in our Waratahs vs. Blues same game multi bet.

It should be a high-scoring contest, and defence could take a back seat. Over 55.5 is a fair line, and we’re locking in the over.

Best Value Bet

Blues 13+ @ $2.90

Our Super Rugby predictions have the Blues winning by 13+ points, and the $2.90 odds are better than expected.

They have demonstrated a much higher level of play recently, and with the Waratahs losing by 40 points to the Hurricanes, the Blues should fancy themselves to do something similar.

It all depends on how well they start, but the Blues have enough depth and talent to take whatever the Waratahs throw at them early. The final score could be around 37-20, so it’s a good value pick.
