North Melbourne vs. Brisbane Predictions
—
Best Bet
Our AFL picks could have taken the easier route with Brisbane –35.5, but they should win by 50+ points, so we’re taking the better odds for Brisbane 40+ at $2.02.
The last two meetings between North Melbourne and Brisbane resulted in the Lions winning by 70 and 75 points respectively, and we haven’t seen enough from the Kangaroos to suggest they’ll make a game of it.
Brisbane has premiership winning experience, and North Melbourne has little in its favour, including a 1-7 record in 2025. Despite pushing Essendon and Port Adelaide close in their last two games, the Kangaroos were soundly beaten by better teams in Sydney, Gold Coast, and Carlton.
We can’t see any other result than Brisbane walking straight through their opposition on Sunday.
Same Game Multi
Goals shouldn’t be too hard for Brisbane to score, so there is good value with Eric Hipwood 3+ goals and Callum Ah Chee 2+ goals.
Hipwood didn’t score last week, but he’ll be licking his lips at the prospect of playing North Melbourne. He had 12 goals in his previous four games, and getting $2.25 for him to kick at least three is good shopping for punters.
We also like Ah Chee to kick a double at $1.93. He kicked three against Gold Coast, and he’s another player who will enjoy playing a soft defence.
It’s a soft North Melbourne defence which is why we’re including over 176.5 points. Brisbane scored 112 last year and 152 in 2023, and another triple-figure score is likely. If North Melbourne can score around 60 points, the over should cash.
Best Value Bet
Lachie Neale kicking three goals might seem outlandish, but he has already kicked a three-bagger earlier this year against St Kilda.
If he can kick three against the Saints, he can kick three against the Kangaroos, and he could strengthen his Brownlow Medal chances with a big scoring performance.
He’s a $15 chance with Brownlow Medal markets, and over double that to kick three on Sunday.
