Tyson Fury vs. Francis NgannouPredictions

Fury vs. Ngannou Fight Preview

Fury is one of the more dominant heavyweight fighters of all time, and it’s hard to see him being beaten by a mixed martial artist.

There is a reason why Fury is a $1.07 favourite. It’s because he’s an actual boxer and Ngannou isn’t. However, there is always the risk of the Cameroonian fighter landing a big punch on Fury’s chin, but what are the chances?

The problem for Ngannou, who is massive, is the size of Fury. Fury is a tall fighter, so Ngannou could have a hard time landing anything on the Gypsy King.

The former UFC champion, who now fights in the Professional Fighters League, doesn’t have much boxing experience, and he took this fight because of the money. He doesn’t have an unbeaten record to protect, so he has nothing to lose and nothing to gain.

According to Ngannou, he hasn’t had any respect from the boxing community, and we’re not shocked.

“To be honest, I haven’t got any respect from the boxing community,” Ngannou said. “I need to claim my own respect. You don’t just walk out there and demand people to respect you for no reason. I am going to fight, and if that big shot comes, it comes. Anything is possible. Who would’ve believed this a couple of years ago?”

With no belts on the line in the exhibition fight, some have questioned Fury’s motives. However, he loves a big payday, and he won’t be worried about losing to an $11.50 chance.

Better fighters have come and gone, including Deontay Wilder, so losing to Ngannou just doesn’t seem like a possibility.

Fury vs. Ngannou Betting Prediction

There is no value in betting Fury at $1.07, and the $1.21 to win by knockout is also short. Therefore, we’re looking to the exotic betting markets for more value.

It’s a 10-round fight, but we would be surprised if it went deep into the latter rounds. Ngannou will get very tired, so we’re picking Fury to win by knockout in Round 5, which pays $8 with bookmakers.

We’re giving Ngannou some credit for sticking around for a few rounds. Because a lot of people have paid to watch this fight, they might be under instruction to avoid going for the KO early.

Fury by knockout pays $4, as opposed to TKO at $1.62. Fury has enough power to send Ngannou to the canvas, so we’re happy to take those odds as well.

We can’t see the fight going any other way than a Fury KO or TKO win, so punters should include that option in multi bets to boost payouts.

Bet: Tyson Fury KO Round 5 @ $8
