Tszyu vs. Fundora Tips

All eyes are on Tszyu, who looks to continue the legacy himself and his father Kostya built.

Having an unbeaten record in boxing doesn’t always mean much, but the 29-year-old hasn’t dodged tough opponents throughout his career.

He comes off a win over Brian Mendoza at the Gold Coast, and although that was an impressive unanimous decision victory, fighting in Las Vegas against an American is a different kettle of fish.

Fundora is 20-1-1 following a knockout loss to Mendoza, which is why he’s the $4.80 underdog to beat Tszyu. We’re not shocked by those odds, but despite being ranked sixth in the division, Fundora has upset claims.

He defeated Carlos Ocampo in 2022 to win the interim title, and a repeat of that performance could see him test the Australian. However, the class is clearly with Tszyu, who has beaten allcomers.

He is 24-0, with 17 wins by knockout. He has the power advantage, and there is no better form guide than when he knocked out Ocampo in the first round in 2023.

Fundora couldn’t put him away, and it took Tszyu just over a minute to send Ocampo to the canvas. That win was incredible, so the $1.22 odds shouldn’t shock anyone.

$1.22 is a short price for any sporting event but add him to your multi bets. It’s a safe inclusion and it can boost payouts.

Bet: Tim Tszyu @ $1.22

Tszyu vs. Fundora Props

Punters might not enjoy the $1.22 for Tszyu to win, so we’re backing him to win by knockout for more value.

He’s only a $1.42 chance to win by KO, so the odds don’t increase much. However, there is better value with round betting.

We’re prepared to give Fundora some credit. He could last a few rounds and stay on the outside of Tszyu’s range. Therefore, we’re locking in the Aussie to win in Round 6.

It’s the current second favourite at $8.75, and although it’s a tough bet to cash, the odds make it worth the risk.

Alternatively, you can back him to win in round 5-6, which pays $4.90. It’s lower odds for less risk, and we’re happy to include that option in our boxing tips.

The total rounds line is set at 7.5. Based on our prop bets, we’re backing the under. Tszyu has enough power to get Fundora out of the ring early, and because of the big audience in Las Vegas, Tszyu wants to put on his best performance.

A victory could set him up for a massive title fight against one of the more-fancied American boxers.

Bet: Tszyu by KO in Round 6 @ $8.75
