T20 Cricket World Cup Tips & Predictions

Best Bet

India @ $2.30

Betting against India at home is a recipe for failure, as the Black Caps found out in their recent T20 series against the hosts.

India dominated the Kiwis, who have a strong T20 team, across five matches. They won 4-1, and they were putting up huge scoring totals of 220+, so they’re going to be tough to beat over the next few weeks.

Conditions in India are always suited to their playing style, which is why they have firmed into outright favouritism at $2.30. It’s on the shorter side of value, but we see them making the semis without much fuss, and they’ll be favourites in that semifinal.

Therefore, the $2.30 is a fair price, so back the hosts to add a T20 World Cup to their ever-growing trophy cabinet.

Next Best

Australia @ $5.50

If Australia comes up short at the T20 Cricket World Cup, they’ll have the selectors to blame.

Leaving out Steve Smith is a crime, especially given his recent Big Bash season. He was a one-man wrecking crew for the Sydney Sixers, and he was the only reason they made the Big Bash Final against the Perth Scorchers.

Not having the seasoned player in the squad is a huge let down for Australian cricket fans, but despite picking an out-of-form Cooper Connelly, we have Australia going close to winning. They still have a strong team, and they have experience playing in India and Sri Lanka.

Punters get $5.50, and those odds are worth taking for the title contenders.

Best Value

New Zealand @ $12.00

New Zealand is always criminally underrated in betting markets, and they excel in shortform cricket.

They might be without a couple of good players due to injury, but the Kiwis should make a deep run in the tournament, and we have them making the semifinals.

If they get to that stage, the tournament is up for grabs, and they could turn the tables against India. The bowling wasn’t up to par throughout that series, but they still scored high totals, especially compared to playing at home.

We’re snapping up the $12 odds for a team that likes playing as underdogs.

Top Tournament Run Scorer

Abhishek Sharma @ $7.25

The Indian batsman is the current $7.25 favourite for a reason. He’s an electric player, having scored 1,267 runs from 36 T20 matches.

The 25-year-old, who currently plays in the IPL, has a 38.39 average in T20, which is excellent, and he could lead India to a famous victory at home.

He has over 5,000 runs in non-international T20 cricket, so he knows how to score, and he’s done everything in his career at a young age. We expect his scintillating form to continue at the World Cup.

Top Tournament Wicket Taker

Jasprit Bumrah @ $12.25

We’re going with another Indian player in Jasprit Bumrah. He has been a firm fixture for India for many years, and he could have another big T20 tournament.

The 35-year-old has 103 wickets from 84 T20 internationals, and he’s one of their more reliable bowlers, especially in the conditions.

He was a part of India’s World Cup win in 2024, and he should have a big part to play in their 2026 success, so take the $12.25 odds.
