F1 Austrian Grand Prix Expert Tips & Predictions

Venue: Red Bull Ring, Spielberg, Austria.
Race Date: 29th June 2025

Following a mini break after the chaos of the Canadian Grand Prix, the European summer swing of the 2025 Formula 1 season is in full swing. The Red Bull Ring in Austria remains one of the flagship races on the calendar and there will be plenty of scrutiny on McLaren once again this weekend, as they look to stretch away from the chasing pack. Watching team mates Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri battle it out at the top of the grid has made for fascinating viewing this term and a repeat could be on the cards here in Austria. This is the home outing for Red Bull though and they will be desperate to see Max Verstappen force his way back into contention in front of his adorning supporters.

F1 Austrian Grand Prix Race Winner

The Red Bull Ring is always a challenging afternoon out for the best drivers on the grid, and it promises to be an incident packed race once again in 2025:

Oscar Piastri @ $2.80

Having forced his way back to a 4th place finish in Montreal last time out, Oscar Piastri will be eager to build on that here in Austria. McLaren have the best car on the grid currently and Piastri appears to be hell bent on proving that he is the best driver, not only in his team but in the world right now.

Lando Norris @ $3.50

Problems appear to be mounting for Lando Norris at McLaren and the pressure of competing at the sharp end of the F1 title race appears to be taking its toll on the Brit. That said, Norris is a superb driver and if he gets any sort of chance here at the Red Bull Ring, he will be desperate to take it and force his way back into title contention.

Max Verstappen @ $4.50

Having missed out to George Russell by 0.22 seconds in Montreal last time out, Max Verstappen should have the bit between his teeth here in Austria. Red Bull are always heavily backed by their home fans in this race and with McLaren feeling the heat up ahead, Verstappen’s cool head could be the difference maker this weekend.

F1 Austrian Grand Prix Top Six Finish

This should be another fantastic weekend of action in central Austria and there is plenty at stake for all the biggest names on the grid at the Austrian Grand Prix: –

George Russell @ $1.15

A real confidence boosting win in Canada should have given George Russell and his Mercedes team plenty of belief between now and the end of the season and he will be chasing another strong week here in Austria. Top 6 should be the minimum requirement for the Brit, who does look to be driving with confidence.

Charles Leclerc @ $1.25

Ferrari continue to battle away this season and Charles Leclerc has been maximising the most from his recent races. He has cracked the podium in two of his last three races and he has a decent record here in Austria, making him decent value for at last a top 6 spot.

Lewis Hamilton @ $1.50

Leclerc’s Ferrari team mate Lewis Hamilton looks well set to keep pushing on this season, but he too has struggled for consistency and form this term. The driving spirit and knowhow remains for Hamilton, who never gives up and he will be looking to take any chances that come here at the Red Bull Ring.
