Arnold Palmer Invitational Tips & Predictions

Best Bet

Scottie Scheffler @ $4.20

There has been a lot of talk around Scottie Scheffler’s poor first-round efforts. We backed him to win two weeks ago, but his chances were toast after the first round. However, he’s not a golfer that punters should drop.

Scheffler is the best player in the world, and it won’t take him long to work out why he’s not playing well in the opening round. Playing the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill could see him right those wrongs, as it’s a course he likes.

He didn’t enjoy playing at Riveira, so Bay Hill is more suitable for the American. Punters get $4.20 for Scheffler to win, which is a good price compared to what he has paid in tournaments this year.

Next Best

Xander Schauffele @ $23.00

It was a quiet start to the year for Xander Schauffele, but he improved to finish T7 at the Genesis Invitational, which should give him confidence.

The 32-year-old had every chance to win that tournament after a good start, but despite not winning, finishing in the top 10 is a step in the right direction for the Ryder Cup representative.

He’s a classy player, and like Scheffler, he should be near the top of the leaderboard from the outset this week.

Best Value Bet

Jake Knapp @ $38.00

Our golf predictions this year have Jake Knapp winning a tournament. He has one of the best swings on the PGA Tour, and despite going through some hardship off the course, he has remained focused on the links.

The 31-year-old won the 2024 Mexico Open, and it’s only a matter of time before he wins another PGA event. He’s too good to stay out of the winners’ column for too long, and he’s being respected in golf betting markets.

We’re taking the $38 for Knapp to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and he’s also worth playing with first-round leaderboard markets.

Best Roughie

Jordan Spieth @ $66.00

Betting on Jordan Spieth comes with risk, but that’s why punters get $66.

The American has been one of the more inconsistent golfers over the last few years, but after finishing T12 at the Genesis Invitational, we’re including him in our golf picks.

Spieth has experience and class on his side, and although his putting isn’t as good as it used to be, he only needs a few to drop early to regain his confidence.

Backing him consistently will pay off, especially if bookmakers keep dishing out $66 odds.

Top 10

Adam Scott @ $4.20

An excellent top 10 bet is Adam Scott. The Australian is another player with class and experience on his side, which matters a lot at Bay Hill.

The 2013 Masters winner finished fourth at the Genesis Invitational, so we’re not sure why he’s paying $4.20 to post a top 10 finish this week.

The field features most of the same players, so punters should jump on the value before late money comes for him.
