RBC Canadian Open Tips & Predictions
—
Best Bet
We’re not sure what to make of McIlroy, but the 2025 Masters champion has class and experience on his side.
The Northern Irishman is a two-time winner of the RBC Canadian Open, and he although he didn’t meet his media expectations at the PGA Championship before bypassing The Memorial last week, he could be back to his professional best in Canada.
Personal life aside, McIlroy is easily the best player in the field. If he’s focused, he should win, so getting $5.50 with RBC Canadian Open odds is good shopping.

Next Best
It’s always worth backing Canadian players at their home event, and Corey Conners is one of the best of them.
He has only two PGA Tour wins to his name, both coming at the Valero Texas Open, but he’s one of the best-performed Canadians at the majors. He owns numerous top 10 finishes at The Masters, and that’s an ability many don’t have in this field.
If Conners is anywhere near his best, punters should get a good sight for the $21 odds.

Best Value Bet
Bookmakers might have missed a trick with Nick Taylor, who played well at The Memorial last week when finishing fourth behind Scottie Scheffler, who isn’t in the field this week.
The Canadian is a proven PGA Tour winner, and a past champion at the RBC Canadian Open. Therefore, we have no idea why he’s paying $51 to win. We priced him at around $23, so punters should snap up the value odds.
He had a good chance to win a signature event last week, and although it’s not an easy field, it’s easier than what he faced at Jack’s Place.

Best Roughie
The former Rookie of the Year has been a massive disappointment since winning that honour, but he qualified for the U.S. Open on Tuesday in a six-man playoff, which could give him enough momentum to win this week.
He has yet to win on the PGA Tour, and he needs to work on his mental game. However, the talent is there, and this could be his chance to show that he didn’t need to win a Monday qualifier to get into the third major of the year.
$61 with RBC Canadian Open betting markets is tough to look past, and stranger things have happened on the golf course.

First Round Leader
One golfer needing to make a positive start in Round 1 is Ludvig Aberg. He hasn’t come back as strong since his injury, but he’s one of the more promising golfers on the PGA Tour.
The young Swede is on the second line of betting at $26 to lead after the first round, and he does most of his damage early in the tournament. We see him shooting around –5 in Round 1, which could be enough to get it done.
