The Masters Props Tips & Predictions
—
Betr Bets – Scheffler or Morikawa to Win
Scheffler is a $5 chance to win the Masters, but punters get some insurance by adding Collin Morikawa to their ticket.
Punters get $3.90 for the Scheffler/Morikawa option, which is only offered at betr, and it’s a bet worth taking. Masters winners are often the best from tee to green, with only two of the last 11 winners not leading in that statistic.
Scheffler and Morikawa are excellent ball strikers, so we’ll take the insurance of having Morikawa on our ticket if Scheffler can’t win.
Bet: Scheffler/Morikawa @ $3.90
Top Australian – Cameron Smith
There is a fair amount of pressure on Cameron Smith, after a less than stellar season on the LIV Tour. However, he’s all class at his best.
The Open Championship and Players champion is suited by Augusta, much more than current favourite and recent PGA Tour winner Min Woo Lee. Augusta doesn’t favour players who can’t find fairways, so Lee could struggle to score.
Smith is a $3.50 chance to beat Lee, Jason Day, Adam Scott, and Cameron Davis, so the odds are generous.
Bet: Cameron Smith @ $3.50
Top LIV Player – Joaquin Niemann
We like a few players from LIV, including Cam Smith and Bryson DeChambeau, but there is no doubting the excellent play from Joaquin Niemann.
He has yet to make an impact at the majors, but after winning many events on the LIV Tour, it’s about time he showed the world why he should be respected on the global stage.
Pressure doesn’t always make diamonds, especially in golf, but we have a good feeling Niemann could silence a few LIV critics.
Bet: Joaquin Niemann @ $6.00
To Make the Cut – Nicolas Echavarria
We have been impressed by Nicolas Echavarria, who has been churning out good performances on the PGA Tour.
The 30-year-old has come of age recently, including a T16 at the Valspar Championship, T34 at the Genesis Invitational, and T32 at the Houston Open.
He has yet to play in the Masters, so we’re taking a risk with this option, but punters get $2 for Echavarria to make the cut, so he’s worth including in golf multis.
Bet: Nicholas Echavarria @ $2.00
To Miss the Cut – Phil Mickelson
Phil Mickelson might be a former Masters winner, but his form on the LIV Tour has been moderate most weeks.
His recent performances have been better, but he has put in some shockers, and we can’t see him playing well enough to make the cut at Augusta this week, so the $2.10 odds are overly generous from bookmakers.
We rated him at around $1.65 to miss the cut.
Bet: Phil Mickelson @ $2.10
Top Asian – Hideki Matsuyama
Being a recent winner of the Masters makes Hideki Matsuyama a good bet in Top Asian markets.
He has been playing well this year, and the $2.40 favourite is a much better betting proposition than his group mates, which includes Sung-Jae Im, Joo-Hyung Kim, Byeong-Hun An, Kevin Yu, and Hiroshi Tai.
He is much better than those golfers, so the Masters prop odds are worth snapping up.
Bet: Hideki Matsuyama @ $2.40
