Flying Amy Classic Form Guide & Tips
(1) Hoshino ($6.50)
He owns four wins from six starts, so there’s nothing wrong with his form, and getting the inside trap helps.
His best time is quick enough to be competitive, so he could be worth including at the thin-end of selections.
(2) Uncle Tommy ($5.50)
Uncle Tommy capped off consistent form with a win in the heat, and it came narrowly over Fire Paws.
We’re unsure if that form is the best guide for this race, and his best time is considerably slower than others in the race.
The odds are too short for our liking.
(3) Overflow Beau (Best Bet – $3.80)
Overflow Beau is gunning for three consecutive wins after winning the heat by 1.25 lengths over Sunset Frazier.
He is a 13-time winner, and his best time of 29.83 is one of the best in the field, and he could jump and run.
We think he’s the best greyhound in the race, so put him on top.
(4) Hotel Whisky One ($20.00)
He’s the only runner at double-figure odds, and although it’s a good price, we can’t see him going well enough to win.
(5) Tattooed ($6.50)
He showed good barrier speed to win his heat, and he’s good enough to jump and run again.
There’s nothing wrong with his form, and he would be shorter in betting markets if he didn’t get a middle trap.
However, he’s good enough to include at the each-way odds.
(6) Sunset Frazier ($6.00)
He doesn’t know how to run a bad race with 10 wins and nine placings from 21 starts, so that consistency is tough to overlook.
He ran second behind Overflow Beau in the heat, and we expect that form to hold up strongly in the Flying Amy Classic.
We’re including him in trifecta and first four picks.
(7) Pronouns (Best Roughie – $8.00)
She’s our best roughie, and although $8.00 isn’t a big price, she represents excellent value.
Her win in the heat over Cindy Keeping was a fine display, and she has run a 29.77, so she must be respected in the final.
Include her to boost payouts.
(8) Lakeview Emily (Best Each Way – $4.50)
She recorded the fastest heat win in 29.72, so leaving her out would be a big mistake.
The six-length win over Speed Zone was a dominant display, and we see her odds firming on race night.
She can’t be left out of selections.
(9) Cindy Keeping ($8.00)
A good heat placing, but we can’t see her getting into the race. Chance if there is a scratching.
(10) Speed Zone ($27.00)
Easily beaten by Lakeview Emily in the heat. Needs a miracle to get into the race.
