National Sprint Championship Final Form Guide & Tips
(1) Mallee Beauty (Best Roughie – $7.50)
Punters get value odds for Mallee Beauty, who comes off three consecutive wins in fine style.
Getting the inside trap could be enough to see her win, and her record is exceptional. She owns 22 wins from 30 starts, so on consistency alone, she can’t be left out.
(2) Mepunga Reward (Best Bet – $3.40)
His turn-of-foot to win the heat was exceptional. He missed the kick before flying past most of the field, and he put away Paw Oswald late.
He’s a strong customer, and if he gets a better start from an inside trap, he could win by a big margin.
We’re happy with the $3.40 odds with greyhound betting markets.
(3) Two Girls ($46.00)
Her recent form is solid with three wins from her last four starts, but we can’t see her running fast enough to beat this field.
(4) Sooty Keeping ($6.50)
It’s tough to look past four consecutive wins, and she put them away with ease at this track last start.
The two-year-old daughter of Feral Franky owns 25 wins, and she won by 5.75 lengths last start. That’s a solid form guide, so include her in multiples.
(5) Iconic Jet ($18.00)
There is nothing wrong with his overall form, but his times aren’t quite quick enough to beat the favourites in this race.
Getting a middle trap doesn’t help his chances, so we’re prepared to leave him out of the Group 1 feature.
(6) Cumbria Jack (Best Each Way – $4.50)
Boasting 13 wins from 18 starts is Cumbria Jack, who is the local chance. He won by a length last start, and having course knowledge is ideal.
Luck is needed from the draw, but he keeps winning, and we can’t leave him out of picks. He typically goes forward and is tough to run down, so look for early pace.
(7) Tim Zoo ($4.00)
Tim Zoo is another runner we can’t leave out. His form this year has been excellent, and his chances all hinge on the start.
If he picks the jump, he could move around them down the back straight. He is unbeaten in two starts at Q2 Parklands, so we’re not leaving him out.
(8) Flying Zulu ($9.50)
He was disappointing last start when not getting the best of luck early. That could be the case again out wide, so we’re not including him in picks.
(9) Daysea’s Rory ($13.00)
Had every chance to win last start but was run down. A tough runner to follow at the best of times, so he shouldn’t win if he gets a run.
(10) Super Scrub ($23.00)
Unlikely to run and unlikely to win.
