Balinor wasn’t far off breaking his maiden hurdle duck last start when running second at Warrnambool by under a length.
The five-year-old showed his staying prowess when winning at The Valley two back over 3000m, and his flat speed could put them away nicely.
We expect money to come for him on race day.

Cool King has had two jumping starts for one second placing, and it shouldn’t take him long to win a race over the sticks.
The four-year-old son of Fiorente won earlier this preparation on the flat and having Dean Parker in the saddle is a bonus.
He’s riding well, so include for value.
Stake: 1 Unit
Pure Deal is good enough to beat this field, and we’re happy to put through a line on his most recent effort.
That came against some of the best jumpers going around in The Cunning Fox and Affluential, so this is a much easier ask.
His jumps record is good enough to include him picks.
Stake: 2 Units
Buttercup ran fifth on debut at Warrnambool and there is plenty of improvement to come.
The three-year-old filly by Territories won a trial before her debut, so she has speed, and this race is there for the taking.
Having John Allen riding only helps her chances.
Stake: 2 Units
Prismatic has been threatening to win a race this preparation after numerous placings, and this isn’t an overly strong field.
The Mark Walker-trained six-year-old owns two wins and three placings from seven jumps starts, and that’s an excellent record.
We expect him to put this field away without much fuss.
Stake: 4 Units
The early form of Deeling Aces looked good when winning at Bendigo and Terang, and she’s better than what she showed fresh up.
The five-year-old daughter of Dundeel might have had a problem fresh up, so we’re prepared to forget and forgive.
Look for any positive market moves.
Stake: 1 Unit
Thisismyturf is better for a run under his belt, and his second-up record consists of three starts for three placings.
The son of Turffontein is a six-time winner overall, with four of those wins coming over the distance, and that’s tough to look past.
If he gets luck from the draw, he should go close.
Stake: 1 Unit
Seeking consecutive wins is Notabadbuy, who is living up to his name with six wins from 21 starts.
The son of The Bold One won by 2.5 lengths during the Warrnambool carnival, and he’s good enough to go back-to-back.
Teo Nugent is a capable rider, so that adds to our confidence levels.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Pearlman won well to end last preparation at Ballarat, and although he’s only a two-time winner overall, he’s never too far away.
There are no superstars in this field, so he could take advantage, and running fresh up over 2000m is an ideal situation.
Punters should get value odds on race day.
