The seven-year-old son of Sea the Stars likes running at Caulfield with a win and two placings, and he enjoys running on heavy tracks.

It’s another premium rude for Johnstone, who could have a big day.

Jenni Gone Bonkers should be fitter with two runs under her belt this preparation, and her third-up form includes a win and a placing.

The four-year-old mare by Maurice has yet to win at Caulfield in five attempts, but she could turn that form around this season.

Barrier 14 isn’t ideal, but it’s an even betting field, so include her in horse racing picks.

He’ll Rip looks to cap off three consecutive placings with a win, and getting the inside draw could be enough to take him close.

The seven-year-old son of Hellbent doesn’t win all that often, but he won’t get a better chance to cap off solid form.

Blake Shinn rides at 55kg, and he’ll look to settle handy and kick strongly.

Big Wigs is gunning for consecutive wins after scoring at Caulfield last time out in March, and he could return from a spell with a big performance.

The three-year-old colt by Gold Standard dug deep to score by a nose, and that toughness should make him tough to hold out.

There isn’t much between them in the market, so take the current odds.

Lara Antipova is unbeaten in four starts in New Zealand, including a Group 1 win last time out at Ellerslie.

The three-year-old filly is raced by Te Akau, and although this is her toughest test by some margin, she’s good enough to win.

Her odds have drifted from $4.60, but she’s armed with speed, and she’s our top pick.

Punters get value odds for Feroce, who has tidy fresh up form, and he could run much better than odds suggest.

The five-year-old son of Super Seth owns three wins and six placings from 17 starts, including a win and three starts at Caulfield.

Look for him to settle just off the pace before coming with a sustained effort.

Punters shouldn’t overlook Recon, who is a six-time winner from 13 starts, which is a terrific win rate.

The five-year-old son of Cosmic Force pulled up with a problem at Sandown last start, but he has been given time to recover.

He runs his best races early in his prep, so include for value.

Group 1 class is with Light Infantry Man, who is nearing $6 million in stakes, and that should count for plenty against this field.

The eight-year-old son of Fast Company owns a fresh up win and a win at Caulfield, and getting 2kg off his back is a bonus.

He’s always a risky bet, but it’s a risk we’re willing to take.
