Caulfield Heath Racing Tips for Wednesday, September 16th 2026

Conditions are ideal for a quality midweek meeting at Caulfield Heath, where there are some runners who could contest Saturday grades later this season. The premier trainers and jockeys are in action, and we’re keen to see Race 3, which features some well-related and expensive yearlings, which adds interest to the eight-race card.

Saint Fox hasn’t been too far away from the prize, and he didn’t handle the heavy track last time out at Bendigo.

The three-year-old colt by Frankel is bred to be better than average, and we don’t think it will take him long to break maidens.

Jordan Childs rides from barrier two, so he should run well.

The Chris Waller-trained mare hit the line nicely for fourth at Caulfield last start, and a repeat of that effort would be good enough to win this race.
