Money has come for Observer, who was too good for them at Sandown when scoring by five lengths as a $1.50 favourite.
The James Cummings-trained colt is bred to be good, and after opening at $2.10, strong bets have come his way.
Craig Williams rides the favourite, so punters should include him in picks.
Stake: 3 Units
Boasting two wins from three starts is Stop the Rock, who won at Swan Hill by just under a length last time out.
The three-year-old gelding by El Roca meets a much harder field, but punters get value odds considering the strength of this field.
Take the value odds and expect a tidy effort.
Stake: 1 Unit
Cleo Cat might have been beaten last time out, but it was a superb run in defeat behind Niance.
It was a red-hot field at Caulfield, and she chased gamely, and it capped off consecutive wins at Warrnambool and Morphettville.
We’re big fans of Cleo Cat, who should sit handy to the pace and show her customary kick with only 54kg.
Stake: 4 Units
Dark Simba keeps winning after making it three on the bounce when scoring at Mornington in heavy conditions last time out.
The three-year-old gelding faces a stronger field on Saturday at Flemington, but he’s unbeaten at the distance, which bodes well.
Taken is also running well but take the better odds for Dark Simba.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Cafe Millennium has stacks of ability, but he doesn’t always show it on race day. However, that could change on Saturday.
The four-year-old son of Not a Single Doubt is much better than a one-time winner, and his fifth at Caulfield is a good form guide.
3kg comes off his back to help with the big weight.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Gunning for consecutive wins is Diwali, who won at Sandown by 2.8 lengths in fine fashion last time out.
The four-year-old son of Tavistock owns four wins and three placings from 15 starts, which is a solid form guide for this race.
Barrier two with 54kg on his back should be enough to take him close.
Stake: 1 Unit
Boasting five wins from 11 starts is Splash Back, who won at Caulfield by 2.3 lengths in impressive fashion last time out.
The five-year-old mare by Le Havre is bred to be better than average and dropping to 53.5kg makes her awfully tough to get past.
The odds are short, but she’s worth including in multis.
Stake: 3 Units
Holymanz has been threatening to win a race this campaign after posting placings at Flemington and Swan Hill.
The son of Almanzor is never too far away from posting a win, and although this field is good, he’s good enough to beat them.
Having Craig Williams in the saddle could be enough to see it win.
Stake: 1 Unit
Hoping to remain unbeaten is Fieldelo, who won on debut at Kilmore before winning at Bendigo last time out.
She’s being given a chance in the city and that’s because her win at Bendigo came by seven lengths, so she looks good enough to compete.
Money has come for her, which is another good sign.
Stake: 2.5 Units
