Q22 Form Guide & Tips
(1) Numerian ($20.00)
He’s not the most consistent type going around, as he showed when struggling last time out.
We can’t find room for him in this race.
(2) Huetor (Best Roughie – $12.00)
He’s another runner who’s not consistent, but we’re happy to include him on class alone.
Punters get value odds for the Group 1 winner.
(3) Light Infantry Man ($15.00)
It was a tidy effort fresh up, but the former European will need to find improvement quickly to beat this field.
(4) Bois D’argent ($9.50)
He got the better of a similar field last time out, but he doesn’t often score back-to-back wins.
However, we’re happy to include him at each-way odds with his confidence levels up.
(5) Kovalica ($6.00)
He had good backing last time out when running sixth. It was a fair effort, and this could be his grand final.
His odds have been rock-solid since markets opened.
(6) Adelaide River (Best Each Way – $8.00)
The former European pulled up with a heart problem fresh up, but his best form is good enough to win.
We’re happy to give him another chance given the odds.
(7) Le Don De Vie ($81.00)
Not running well after finishing down the track last time out. Can’t have him at the odds.
(8) Vow and Declare ($23.00)
A former Melbourne Cup winner who didn’t fire last time out. Can lift on that effort, as the odds suggest.
(9) Young Werther ($26.00)
He’s a tough runner to follow. He often wins when least expected and fails when well-backed, so we’re not including him.
Only a betting push would sway us.
(10) Spirit Ridge ($17.00)
A good last-start winner at Doomben, who has enough experience to figure in the finish.
Ryan Maloney comes off a Group 1 win, so his confidence levels are up.
(11) El Bodegon ($101.00)
At long odds and rightfully so. No chance of winning.
(12) Cleveland ($101.00)
He has disappointed since arriving in Australia, and we have given him one too many chances.
(13) Hezashocka ($10.00)
A two-time winner from his last three starts, and there has been solid betting support for him. We’re happy to include him.
(14) Naval College ($31.00)
Looked good winning three on the bounce last prep. Better last start, and it could boost payouts with a big run.
(15) Fawkner Park (Best Bet – $4.40)
Seven wins from 16 starts, and getting in from barrier three helps his cause.
He went down fighting in a tough race last time out, and getting each-way odds makes him worth backing.
The Neasham stable is firing this season.
(16) Converge ($27.00)
Back to good form last time out, but he’s not consistent enough to bet with confidence.
(17) Knight’s Choice ($41.00)
Likely to go forward, but we expect him to be run down.
(18) Amokura ($18.00)
Shorter odds than expected given her form. We need to see something better.
