Randwick racing tips

Race 1. (11:00) Sporting Chance Cancer Foundation (1200m)

#5 – Agarwood @ $2.60

The two-year-old filly needs to cope with a wide draw, but she looked good winning on debut at Warwick Farm by 2.5 lengths.

The Waterhouse/Bott-trained filly is bred to be better than average, and she’ll look to head forward and lead throughout.

Money has come for her, so include her in picks.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 2. (11:35) Midway BM72 (1400m)

#5 – Flying Embers @ $6.50

Flying Embers is a model of consistency with seven starts for three wins and two placings, including a win at Kembla Grange last start.

The three-year-old filly handles all track conditions, which helps, and getting 3kg off her back could be all she needs to win again.

We’re happy to include her in picks at the odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 3. (12:10) Tab Highway C3 (1200m)

#2 – So You Pence @ $2.35

Gunning for three consecutive wins is So You Pence, and she comes from the in-form Matthew Dale stable.

The five-year-old mare has yet to finish worse than second from five career starts, and although her form has come at the provincials, she has speed to burn.

Getting the inside draw is enough to see her win again.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 4. (12:45) Chalouhi BM72 (1800m)

#4 – Duvana @ $9.00

Duvana had no luck at Gosford last time out when getting held up in the straight, and punters get value odds this time around.

The three-year-old colt is a nice type on his day, and he’s much better than a one-win type. He has form around some smart types, which bodes well.

Include the Waller-trained colt in your picks at the juicy odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 5. (13:20) PF Civil BM78 (2400m)

#7 – Ahuriri @ $4.20

Punters were rewarded for loyalty when Ahuriri scored at Canterbury, and she’s good enough to kick on with it now.

The four-year-old mare handles all track conditions, and she will likely get back from the draw and work into the race down the back straight.

The each-way odds are worth taking.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 6. (13:55) Taylor Construction BM78 (1000m)

#12 – Storm the Ramparts @ $7.50

Punters get each-way odds for Storm the Ramparts, who did well to finish second at Gosford last time out.

There is more depth to this field, but the four-year-old son of Headwater has ability, and he loves running over the distance.

Look for money to come for him throughout the week.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 7. (14:30) Fujitsu Airstage BM88 (2000m)

#11 – Asgoodassobergets @ $9.00

Asgoodassobergets won well at Gosford last time out, and that win should give him enough confidence to kick on with it.

The six-year-old won by 2.5 lengths in BM78 grade, and rising in class shouldn’t worry him too much, especially at the weights.

The former European has enough upside to include at nice odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 8. (15:05) The Charity Challenge (1600m)

#1 – Bold Mac @ $11.00

Looking to go one better than last start is Bold Mac, who ran second behind Punch Lane at Randwick.

The seven-year-old wouldn’t mind the sting out of the track, and he should get conditions to suit on Saturday.

2kg comes off his back, so punters should relish the double-figure odds.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 9. (15:45) Magnolia Lane Financial Services BM78 (1400m)

#7 – Hiyaam Proud @ $6.00

Hiyaam Proud has a good fresh up record, and the four-year-old gelding showed good form when winning at Caulfield last start.

That came over 1800m, but this distance is within his wheelhouse, and he has more class than most in this race.

Given the each-way odds, he’s worth including in picks.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 10. (16:25) Wilson Asset Management BM78 (1400m)

#10 – She’s Unusual @ $4.80

She’s Unusual has made a good start to her career, including three wins and four placings from eight starts.

The five-year-old mare by Unusual Suspect has yet to race at this track, but she loves the distance, and this race is right up her alley.

Luck is needed from barrier 15, but class takes her close.

Stake: 2 Units
