Randwick Racing Tips for Saturday, October 24th 2026First race in 1d 12h

It’s a Group 1 meeting at Randwick on Saturday with the Spring Champion Stakes taking centre stage. The 10-race card is packed full of quality stakes races, and it’s a great meeting to follow up from The Everest last week. Punters get value odds throughout the day, and it’s a meeting that punters need to watch this week.

Race 1. (12:10) Arrowfield Kirkham Plate (1000m)

#6 - Royal Accord @ $4.00

BET NOW

Royal Accord is on debut for Team Hawkes, and he has looked good at the trials, including two wins.

The two-year-old colt by Home Affairs won trials at Rosehill and Warwick Farm, and he’s bred to be better than average.

We’re happy to follow the early money for the favourite.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 2. (12:45) Tab Highway C3 (1600m)

#2 - Olympian @ $4.80

BET NOW

Punters get each-way odds for Olympian, who ran third at Newcastle last time out, which should be a good form guide.

The four-year-old son of The Autumn Sun owns two wins and two placings from eight starts, and something close to this best is good enough.

Take the odds before late money comes his way.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 3. (13:20) Midway BM72 (1200m)

#9 - Better Late @ $7.00

BET NOW

Better Late will need a fair amount of luck from a wide barrier, but his best form is good enough to handle this field.

The four-year-old son of Maurice owns three wins and three placings from 10 starts, and his best form comes over this distance.

If he can find cover, he should be right in the mix.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (14:00) ALM On-Premise Brian Crowley Stakes (1200m)

#1 - Crescent King @ $2.80

BET NOW

Crescent King is a strong type in the making after winning his last two starts at Warwick Farm and Canterbury.

The three-year-old colt by Written Tycoon is bred to decent, and he beat a nice field by 2.8 lengths last time out, which is a good form guide.

Tim Clark rides, and that adds to our confidence levels.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 5. (14:40) Myplates Callander-Presnell (1600m)

#4 - Why So Hard @ $2.60

BET NOW

Why So Hard has been hammered in markets after opening at $4.20, and that’s on the back of an eye-catching placing behind Satono Glow.

That was an excellent effort for the three-year-old son of All Too Hard, and he showed his ability when winning on debut at Randwick.

Something close to his last start should be enough to blow by this field.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 6. (15:20) Asahi Super Dry Craven Plate (1800m)

#1 - Lindermann @ $2.30

BET NOW

Lindermann was narrowly run down by Attrition last time out, and although that’s not super-hot form, Attrition is a Group 1 runner this Saturday.

The Chris Waller-trained gelding is a nine-time winner overall, and he looked good when scoring three back at Randwick.

He should control the speed and be tough to run down late.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 8. (16:45) The Invitation (1400m)

#1 - Lazzura @ $3.10

BET NOW

It’s tough to bet against Lazzura, and although it’s a quality field, she was too good for a quality field last time out at Rosehill.

The five-year-old mare by Snitzel has since been prepared with a soft trial, and she only needs to contend with the wide draw to go close.

The $3.10 odds are worth taking, as she could firm on race day.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 9. (17:30) Five Diamond Prelude (1500m)

#12 - Declichy Boulevard @ $3.40

BET NOW

Declichy Boulevard didn’t have all favours in the Epsom Handicap, and many punters saw that run.

The Waller-trained mare ran 12th, but she had no room to move in the straight, and she appeared to be traveling nicely into the race.

54kg on her back is enough to take her close against this field, so take the odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 10. (18:05) Robrick Lodge Filante Handicap (1600m)

#5 - Lord Penman @ $10.00

BET NOW

Punters need to take Lord Penman on trust after four poor efforts, but we’re giving him another chance.

The Waller-trained gelding didn’t fire at Caulfield last start, but coming back to Sydney and getting the inside draw could see him improve.

It’s last chance saloon, and the odds are good enough to take.

Stake: 1 Unit
