First race in 1d 17h There are stakes races littered throughout the card at Rosehill, and although there is no Group 1 feature, the races are mouthwatering. The Alan Brown Stakes and Hill Stakes highlight the 10-race card in Sydney, and they’ll be great form guides for racing later in the spring, including for The Everest next week.
Race 1. (12:35) Midway BM72 (1400m)
#1 - Felix Majestic @ $5.00

Consistency is with Felix Majestic, who looks to cap off three consecutive placings with a win.
The seven-year-old son of Smart Missile owns six wins overall, and his class could be enough to handle this field on Saturday.
Molly Bourke takes 1.5kg off his back, and that’s another positive.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 2. (13:10) Tab Highway Handicap C3 (1500m)
#4 - Magic Merlin @ $11.00

Our horse racing picks include Magic Merlin, who has looked excellent this preparation with three wins from his last four starts.
The four-year-old son of Lucky Vega won at Muswellbrook before adding two wins at Scone, which is usually a good form guide for the Highway.
He should get a good trip in transit, so he’s worth backing.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 3. (13:45) Kia Ora Bloodlines to Headlines BM88 (2000m)
#11 - Anthracite @ $6.00

Anthracite didn’t lose any admirers when running third behind Pinhole last start, and he could lead throughout on Saturday.
The Joe Pride-trained gelding owns four wins and five placings from 12 starts, and he’s often underrated in betting markets.
Look for him to set the pace and give a good kick at the top of the straight.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 4. (14:20) Schweppes Gloaming Stakes (1800m)
#4 - Wonka @ $9.00

Wonka looked good last week when battling against Genesis Runner, and that holds him in good stead for this race.
Chris Waller doesn’t always back them up after a seven-day break, so that’s a good sign, and he’s a progressive colt in the making.
He’s worth including in picks at the current odds.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 5. (14:55) Drinkwise Tapp-Craig (1400m)
#2 - Plagiarism @ $6.50

Plagiarism couldn’t handle the pressure of the Golden Rose, but he could get a soft lead at Rosehill and kick strongly.
We like backing on-pace runners at Rosehill, and the Waterhouse/Bott-trained gelding has enough speed to find the front off the inside barrier.
It’s a hot field, but he’ll give punters a sight.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 6. (15:35) Tab Roman Consul Stakes (1200m)
#1 - Paradoxium @ $2.60

The Bjorn Baker stable is firing, and Paradoxium looked good when traveling to Melbourne and winning at Flemington down the straight.
He won by a length behind a good field, and the three-year-old colt by Extreme Choice could return to Sydney and post another win.
Barrier two is ideal, and he’ll be tough to beat with a good run.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 7. (16:10) Toyota Forklifts Hill Stakes (1900m)
#6 - Zambardo @ $11.00

Zambardo looks set to run a good race after two solid efforts this prep, including a fourth at Caulfield behind Pride of Jenni.
The five-year-old wasn’t able to make ground on the champion mare, but the small field didn’t suit, and he’s better suited here.
It’s a tough field, but he shouldn’t take much longer to win.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 8. (16:50) Alan Brown Stakes (1400m)
#5 - Sepals @ $7.00

Sepals hasn’t been the easiest runner to follow recently, but he comes off a top Group 1 placing behind Angel Capital, which is a good form guide.
The five-year-old gelding by Calyx owns five wins from 14 starts, and most of his racing has come against the best in the business.
His second-up record reads well, and he should run well again.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 9. (17:25) The Nivision (1200m)
#12 - She's an Artist @ $6.00

Punters have stuck with She’s an Artist through thick and thin, and she should go close to winning at Rosehill.
The Ciaron Maher-trained sprinter comes off a second placing behind Golden Straand, which is a tidy enough form guide for this race.
She should get a good run from barrier two, and 54kg on her back is ideal.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 10. (18:05) Chandon BM78 (1100m)
#3 - Agarwood @ $7.50

Agarwood could make a winning return after looking good in a recent trial at Randwick.
The four-year-old mare by Wootton Bassett ran fourth at Eagle Farm last time out, but she looks to have matured in the off-season.
She is talented at her best, and she could provide punters with value.
Stake: 1 Unit
