Scone horse racing tips

Race 1. (12:50) Scone Equine Hospital Maiden (900m)
#2 – Lady Olenna @ $1.45
Short odds are with Lady Olenna, who ran second on debut at Scone behind a nice type in Nation Changing.
The three-year-old filly by Shalaa was heavily backed on debut and she’s heavily backed here, which isn’t surprising.
She’s a good multi bet inclusion at the odds.
Stake: 3 Units
Race 2. (13:25) Newgate Maiden (1100m)
#6 – Rail Trail @ $2.45
Looking to cap off consecutive placings with a win is Rail Trail, who placed at Scone fresh up before placing at Wellington last time out.
The three-year-old son of Alabama Express is bred for speed, and having experience on the track adds to his appeal.
We priced him around $1.80, so take the value.
Stake: 3 Units
Race 3. (14:05) Inglis C1 (2200m)
#12 – Wittelsbach @ $5.50
Money has come for Wittelsbach, who ran fifth on debut at Kembla Grange before finishing sixth at Newcastle last start.
The filly by Dundeel is bred to enjoy the rise in distance, and after opening at $7.50, she has been heavily backed into $5.50.
Carrying 55kg should make her tough to beat.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 4. (14:40) Warburton Estate Agents BM58 (1400m)
#9 – Fortissimo @ $2.50
Looking to remain unbeaten is Fortissimo, who enjoyed the heavy conditions when scoring by a nose at Scone.
The two-year-old son of Snitzel should be better on top of the ground, and although his opening odds of $2 have drifted, he looks to have ability.
We’re happy to include him in picks at the odds.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 5. (15:20) Kia Ora C1 (1100m)
#2 – Bolt Away Now @ $5.00
Bolt Away Now owns a win and two placings from three starts, and he could make a winning return following a short spell.
The four-year-old ran in January when placing at Gunnedah, and that form has been franked, so he has every chance to win this race.
Barrier 14 makes it tricky, but he should go close with luck.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 6. (15.55) Godolphin Lifetime Care Maiden (1400m)
#5 – Leovanni @ $4.00
Leovanni is a good chance to cap off consistent form with a win, following four consecutive placings.
The three-year-old filly by Proisir has four placings from five starts, including a placing at Scone, and it’s about time she won.
Getting the inside draw is ideal, and getting $4 is fair from bookies.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 7. (16:35) Scone RSL BM66 (1000m)
#7 – Kantishna @ $3.10
Kantishna started his last preparation with a win at Tamworth, and she could hit the running this time around.
The three-year-old filly by Headwater owns two wins and three placings from eight starts, and this race is there for the taking.
We expect the $3.10 odds to firm close to start time.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 8. (17:10) Duncan Equine BM66 (1700m)
#2 – Point Basse @ $3.20
Point Basse started his career with a hiss and a roar, but he has since struggled to regain that form. However, we’re giving him one more chance.
The five-year-old showed improvement when placing at Muswellbrook last start, which was enough to capture our attention.
Getting the inside draw could help him switch on and win.
Stake: 1 Unit
