Warren racing tips

Race 1. (11:55) Warren Stayers BM58 (2400m)

#3 – Wolf Club @ $4.00

Wolf Club owns two wins and three placings from 12 starts, including a win on a soft track.

The five-year-old son of Tivaci gets all favours off the inside draw, and his last-start win at Tamworth was a solid effort.

Punters get each-way odds, which are worth taking in the opener.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 2. (12:30) Gunningbar Creek Maiden (1000m)

#13 – Spring Prospect @ $1.70

Short odds are available with Spring Prospect, who resumed from a spell with a second placing at Parkes, which is a solid form guide.

The three-year-old filly by Headwater has the ability edge over this field, and getting the inside draw adds to her appeal.

The odds are only getting shorter, so take the odds and include her in multis.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 3. (13:05) Ewenamar Creek Maiden (1200m)

#8 – Down the Kooka @ $5.50

Down the Kooka has threatened to win a race throughout his career, including a placing at Dubbo last preparation.

The three-year-old son of Star Turn ran well enough fresh up when finishing fourth at Tamworth, which is a good effort for this level of racing.

We’re happy with the each-way odds available.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (13:30) Sandy Creek Maiden (1400m)

#8 – Bloomin’ Hell @ $16.00

Double-figure value is with Bloomin’ Hell, who is better for two runs under her belt this preparation.

The three-year-old daughter of Hellbent finished fourth at Bathurst in heavy conditions last start, and getting barrier two is ideal.

She should be better on a soft surface, so put her on top.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 5. (16:15) Macquarie River C1 (1600m)

#4 – Southerly Buster @ $2.45

Southerly Buster was two lengths better than the opposition last time out, and he’s good enough to win again.

The three-year-old gelding by Vadamos relished the wet conditions and he’ll likely enjoy racing on a soft surface on Monday.

Getting 2kg off his back should make him tough to beat.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 6. (14:50) Warren Showgrounds C1 (1600m)

#4 – Jasper’s Way @ $6.00

Jasper’s Way didn’t fire last start but he’s good enough to turn that performance around at each-way odds.

The three-year-old son of Pariah won at Narromine two back and he hit the line well enough last start to suggest the 1600m distance is ideal.

Punters should snap up the each-way odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 7. (15:25) Collie Country BM58 (1200m)

#1 – The Impeckable @ $4.00

The Impeckable showed good pace throughout his last preparation, including two wins and three placings from his last five starts.

He has yet to win on soft ground, but he has been close, so conditions shouldn’t worry him, and getting 2kg off his back helps.

Take the $4 odds as a value price.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 8. (16:05) Warren Shire BM58 (1200m)

#3 – Insightful Award @ $3.80

Insightful Award owns three wins from 13 starts overall, with two of those wins coming in soft conditions.

That should be ideal for the five-year-old daughter of Shamus Award, who gets a value 2kg off her back for this run.

It’s an even betting field but she has upside.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 9. (16:40) Nevertire BM58 (1000m)

#6 – Joy of the World @ $3.60

Joy of the World scored a good win at Bathurst two back before placing last time out at Wellington behind Micro Mikki.

It was a good showing for the three-year-old filly, who has been all around the mark throughout her career.

Dropping to 57.5kg is ideal, so include her in picks.

Stake: 1.5 Units
