Warwick Farm racing tips

Race 1. (13:25) Keeneland September Yearling Sale Maiden (1100m)

#3 – Burma Star @ $2.90

Money came for Burma Star last time out when settling for second, and we’re not surprised by the money coming for him again.

The Chris Waller-trained colt is bred to be better than average, and with two second placings from four starts, his record is improving.

Having James McDonald in the saddle only helps his chances.

Stake: 3 Units

Race 2. (14:00) Inglis Xtra Bonus Maiden (1300m)

#9 – Spice Prawn @ $9.00

Spice Prawn did well to run second fresh up at Rosehill before battling away for fourth at Canterbury in heavy conditions.

The three-year-old filly by Too Darn Hot shouldn’t take much longer to exit maiden grades, so we’re happy to stick with her.

The odds are much better than expected, so snap up the value.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 3. (14:35) Tab BM72 (1100m)

#4 – Chidiac @ $3.70

Boasting four wins from five starts is Chidiac, who got back to winning form with a win at Scone last time out.

The five-year-old mare has since been prepared with a trial win at Scone, and her natural speed could be too much for a talented midweek field.

It won’t be easy, but the $3.70 odds are worth taking.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (15:10) Captivant Kia Ora BM72 (1000m)

#6 – Bev’s Nine @ $3.70

Looking to remain unbeaten from three starts is Bev’s Nine, who won on debut at Wyong before doubling down to win at Kembla Grange.

The four-year-old son of Shalaa is in good hands, and with McDonald riding, he should get a dream run in transit.

Getting the inside draw adds to his appeal, and the $3.70 odds could firm on race day.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 5. (15:45) Asahi Super Dry BM72 (1600m)

#12 – American Starlet @ $7.50

Each-way odds are available for American Starlet, who comes off consecutive placings at Randwick and Warwick Farm.

The five-year-old daughter of American Pharoah owns two placings from three starts at Warwick Farm, and it shouldn’t take her long to win here.

Dropping to 53.5kg should make her tough to beat.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (16:20) Hawaii Five Oh BM72 (1400m)

#6 – Allapercanto @ $15.00

Punters get value odds for Allapercanto, who has steadily improved with racing this preparation, including a fourth at Canterbury last start.

The mare by Per Incanto wasn’t too far behind some nice types last start, and a slight improvement on that run should be enough.

She is well worth including in picks at the current odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 7. (16:55) Private Life Coolmore BM72 (1200m)

#4 – Sessions Road @ $14.00

Punters also get value odds for Sessions Road, who looks to cap off consecutive placings in Victoria.

The nine-year-old isn’t getting any younger, but after placing at Flemington and Sandown, that should bode well for midweek racing at Warwick Farm.

We’re happy to take the odds available from bookmakers.

Stake: 1 Unit
