The Panthers showed why they’re four-time NRL champions with a one-sided win over the Broncos in Magic Round.
A loss would have made it hard for them to make the playoffs, but the win keeps them in the hunt, and we’re backing them to keep winning against the Cowboys, which has been their bogey team over the last two years.
The Panthers are 0-2 in the last two against the Cowboys, including a 22-18 loss earlier this year. However, with more confidence following a 32-8 win, the Panthers are good enough to win and cover the –3.5 spread.
The Cowboys have exceeded expectations so far, and the Panthers should only continue to improve.

To’o has four tries in his last five games, and although he didn’t score last week, he should look to improve his form as State of Origin approaches. That’s usually when he starts scoring, and he’s the current $1.64 favourite to score.
Alamoti hasn’t been consistent, having not scored in four of his last five games, but that was more to do with not getting good ball from the halves. We’re hoping Nathan Cleary is back to his best because Alamoti should cash in if he is.

This could be the game when To’o breaks out for a big performance, and we’re backing him to score the opening try on Saturday night.
He is one of the toughest wingers in the NRL, and a lot of his work is bringing the ball off the line. However, he’s a silky-smooth finisher, and Cleary should want to get him involved early in the game to get his confidence up.
