Knights vs. Titans Predictions
—
Best Bet
We expect the Knights to win, but we didn’t see much value in the $1.47 odds, and we aren’t comfortable enough to back them at –6.5. Therefore, we’re taking the value for Fletcher Sharpe to score a try at generous $2.25 odds.
Scoring tries had been tough for the Knights before putting away the Rabbitohs 30-4 last week, and that should do their confidence a world of good. Sharpe scored three tries, making it five tries from his last four games.
Crossing for a hattrick should have him firing on all cylinders, and he faces a Titans defence that has allowed totals of 38, 50, 30, 38, and 36 points from their last five games. Sharpe is a great bet to score a try, so take the odds.
Same Game Multi
To boost same game multi odds, we’re including the Knights head-to-head. They should win the game against a Titans team that can’t defend, and it’s also why we like over 48.5.
The Titans have been leaking points at an all-time level, and although the Knights attack hasn’t been stellar for most of the year, scoring 30 points last week should have ignited them, and scoring on the Titans isn’t difficult.
They scored only 30 points in their first meeting this year, but that’s when Newcastle was struggling. A better guide is the 36-14 win for the Knights last year, which came at McDonald Jones Stadium.
We’re also including Alofiana Khan-Pereira at $1.94 to score a try. He has four tries from his last four games, and he’s the Titans best chance to cross for a four pointer.
Best Value Bet
The Knights should get off to a hot start, and although halftime margins aren’t easy to predict, the $6 odds are worth taking.
After winning easily last week against the Rabbitohs, the Knights should be revitalised, especially in front of a home crowd. That could translate to a solid halftime lead, and we expect them to lead by a converted try after 40 minutes.
