NRL Round 23 Tips
—
Thursday 7/8/25
The Storm are struggling to put teams away easily, and with the Broncos playing better league than most teams in the NRL, it should be a close game.
Brisbane is heading towards the finals with a stack of momentum, and although beating the Storm at AAMI Park isn’t easy, the Storm could struggle without Jahrome Hughes.
Getting a +6.5 start is too good to pass up.

Friday 8/8/25
The Panthers had a 24-0 halftime lead last week against the Titans before needing golden point to win, but they shouldn’t make the same mistake against the Knights.
Newcastle has struggled for most of the 2025 season, and although they have nothing to lose, the Panthers have everything to gain.
They’re shooting for a top four spot, so a big victory should be on the cards.

The Raiders and Sea Eagles come off poor losses in Round 22, but the Sea Eagles look like a tired footy team.
They keep starting the game well defensively, but that effort catches up to them in the second half. We expect them to start well, but the Raiders are still an excellent second-half team despite losing to the Dragons last week.
Covering a –6.5 spread shouldn’t be too difficult at home.

Saturday 9/8/25
The Sharks got back to their best form last week with a dominant win in wet conditions against the Cowboys, and they should be too good for the Dragons.
St George comes off an overdue win over the Raiders, but scoring back-to-back wins in 2025 hasn’t been easy for the home side.
We suggest taking the –5.5 line before money comes for the Sharks.

The Dolphins scored a good win over the Warriors last week, but the injury to Herbie Farnworth is a big one.
We’re happy to back the Roosters on Saturday to make it back-to-back wins after taking care of the Sea Eagles with a top defensive performance.
The $1.88 odds are likely to firm to around $1.70 on game day.

It was a heartbreaking loss in the 80th minute for the Warriors last week, and they’re now in danger of sliding down the NRL ladder. However, they could keep it close against the Bulldogs on Saturday night.
The Bulldogs were close to awful against the Wests Tigers last week, and they have been known to produce a very poor effort. We expect them to be better in Round 23, but it should be a close game.
The Warriors defence should keep them in the hunt for 80 minutes.

Sunday 10/8/25
The Titans almost pulled off their biggest comeback against the Panthers last week, but it wasn’t to be for the struggling franchise. However, they’re playing better than the Rabbitohs.
The Rabbitohs have been decimated by injuries, which is a shame, but given their current roster, we’re backing the Titans to cover the spread.
An afternoon game helps their chances, so expect a fast-paced game.

The Eels are playing well without winning, which is more than can be said for the Cowboys.
North Queensland has all the talent needed to win the competition, but it’s not doing enough on the field to give us confidence.
With Mitch Moses back on the field, the Eels should get the job done with ease to cover the spread.
