NRL Round 25 Tips

Thursday 21/8/25
The Rabbitohs showed good heart when beating the Eels last week, and they should get the job done against a hurting Dragons outfit.
The Dragons lost a couple of players to bad concussions when losing narrowly to the Warriors, and it was made worse by the late defeat.
We’re surprised by the $2.15 odds for the Rabbits, so lock them in.

Getting $2.30 for the best team in the competition is a good price, especially with the Raiders coming off a bye.
Meanwhile, the Panthers come off a bad loss to the Storm, where they looked to have the same in control before giving up some easy second-half tries.
The defending champions aren’t playing their best, and with confidence and momentum with the Raiders, the underdog odds are too good to pass up.

The Storm are showing why they’re still one of the premiership favourites after beating Penrith last week, and punters can expect another aerial assault by Xavier Coates.
They haven’t let the injury to Jahrome Hughes affect their winning ways, and although the Bulldogs can be a tough team defensively, we don’t think they have enough points in them to keep up with the high-flying Storm.
Include Storm –7.5 in your NRL multis this week.

Losing an outside back in Herbie Farnworth shouldn’t detonate a teams’ season, but that’s threatening to happen for the Dolphins.
They lost another game to the Broncos last week after posting a big early lead, and although they’re showing signs of fragility, the Sea Eagles have looked even worse after getting hammered by the Wests Tigers last Sunday.
That was a dismal effort, and we can’t back a team that’s not turning up for each other.

There is an element of risk when backing the Warriors, especially against a team they haven’t been able to beat for a couple of years.
The Warriors are inside the top four after a dour win last week over the Dragons, but they’re doing enough defensively to keep them in the hunt. Their attack looks stagnant, but the Titans appeared to have already checked out last week.
It’s a game the Warriors need to win, and desperation could lead to a victory.

We recommend taking the –9.5 line before it moves to double digits throughout the week. The Roosters should have too much firepower for the Eels, who continue to lose games that they should win.
Given the way the Roosters are marching towards the playoffs, and still needing wins to secure a top spot, they should come out in full force on Saturday night.
The Eels shouldn’t be able to keep up in the scoring department.

Sunday 24/8/25
The Broncos at –9.5 is another line worth jumping on before it moves, but it might not matter when it’s all said and done.
We can’t see the Knights doing enough to keep it close against the Broncos, who come off a come-from-behind win to beat the Dolphins, despite losing their two halves the week prior.
Newcastle is currently booking their post-season holidays, so we can’t back them.

The Tigers produced their best performance of the year against Manly last week, and they should look to score consecutive win on Sunday.
Having a full week to prepare for the Cowboys is ideal, and although the Cowboys have a good team on paper and they’re coming off an easy win over Newcastle, the level of opposition wasn’t tough.
Playing at home is ideal, so back the Tigers to get it done.
